Oh my goodness! I'm at three weeks post-op and today is the second day I didn't need a nap! It will get better. -

I agree that some docs don't have a comprehensive program that some of us have experienced. As a result, it appears that many people simply don't know what they can or cannot do at various stages. This is a good place to ask questions. However, in some cases it seems as though the patients simply have limited info from their WLS team. That's very unfortunate. -

Try more than one brand. Myoplex Lite gave me terrible gas, but SlimFast High Protein did not. I know it's frustrating, but each brand is composed a bit differently. -

She is clearly not a nice person. But I'm concerned that her son is a "momma's boy" who didn't defend you or support you with her. In the long run that would be a huge red flag. As you slim down and reach your goals, I hope you will meet a man who will honor, love, respect, and defend you, and whose family will do the same. Life is too short to have it any other way. -

Get s new PCP because they have to submit a detailed letter of support to the insurance company before you're approved. You don't want to get to the end of the process and have a delay because she's not fully supportive. So sorry to hear this.

Why am I obsessed with watching these shows after surgery? I'm not hungry or even tempted. Anyone else do this???

No problems two weeks post op for me. I was at a restaurant with family. Was nice to have something to chew while they pigged out. LOL

The psych exam I took was about 250 questions broken into two parts. It was designed to assess whether you are a binge eater (I showed mildly) or have other concerns with mental wellness that could prohibit your ability to follow through with the plan. Just be consistent in your answers because you get asked the same question multiple times worded differently to trip you up.

I guess some don't take this major life altering/life giving procedure as seriously as others. If you're rushing to have a drink after surgery, you probably have another problem to solve. Not my business, but I do understand the sentiment. -

How long does it take for the surgical strips to fall off? I hope my doc doesn't pull them off this week for my follow-up. I think that may hurt. And the bruising on one side looks awful. -
Can you eat veggies? I was able to eat raw vegetables in addition to 4 shakes per day and water. That held me together.
