I love my VSG i can eat anything, but i really am having trouble getting the last 10 pnds off, and its frustrating.
your 6 years issue was my last 6-9 months was awful and painful. I could not imagine being pregnant ontop of it.
-
I was revised back in July as well, I am struggling to get the last 10-15 pounds off you would think after 2.5 years with the lap band I would know how to eat. I had more success loosing weight with the band than I do now. Of course I could not eat anything with the band.
What do you find is the difference in the weightloss?

I use my fitness pal to log my food choices and it tells me how many food calories i have eaten and there are so many other VSGr's on there and they are supportive.
As for meal plans I have googled VSG meal plans and there are a few hospitals that have posted their sample plans but your nutrionist should have given you one.
It gets easier.

I cannot believe tomorrow is surgery day!! I called to verify what time i had to be there and they ended up moving my surgery time from afternoon to morning, yeah me, don't have to wait all day as NPO. So excited and nervous all at the same time.

Hey Ya'all just wanted to update you since its been two years as of yesterday since I had surgery. Hard to believe two years has gone by. I started out at 273 pre surg and now and I am 170, I was down to 160's but got sick and had to have the Fluid removed and gained 15 pounds and now I am struggling to get back down there again, I go next month for another follow up but my doc pretty much is considering me in the "maintence phase".
Hoping to be down to MY goal of 150 by next year at this time.

My husband's parents moved from here in Vt. to NC they wanted to retire and were not going to be able to do it since Vt is so expensive for cost of living. And so my husband is an only child and we decided to be closer in case something should happen, they are in their mid 60's and in fair health.
Plus we hate the cold bitter winters, we both have lived in Vt our whole lives and want out.

I got my first fill this week so hoping and praying this does it so far so good, but due to the swelling I have restriction and the doc said my port still had a small amount of swelling which I thought for almost 9 weeks was odd, but he said it was normal. He has the Phd not me.

hey all sorry its been so long since I have been on here, but we have decided to move to NC so I have been running around trying to find someone to move our stuff, and telling everyone we are moving.
I had my first fill this week and I so needed it.
soexcited u and I are bandster buddies as we had surgery the same day.

Sorry I have not been posting but life has been crazy we have decided to move to NC, in 9 weeks so I am running around trying to find people to move our stuff and tell everyone we are moving.
I got my first fill this week and I am so glad, I really needed it. I have about 12 more pnds to loose to reach my V-day goal. I am hoping I make it but if I don't then I don't.

I am 8 weeks post op and no fill til Tuesday due to Dr. scheduling and mine. I have had some really bad times of being hungry but what I found was when my tummy said it was hungry I would drink some Water to help in between meal times and it would satisfy the hunger. Bandster Hell sucks but we can trick our tummies one way or another. And making sure we get our 60-70 grams of protein.:cursing:

I have both the Wii Fit and EA Active Sports, I am hoping to get the new EA soon.
I love them both but I have to agree that I feel it more with the EA Active.

hey all thought I would pop in and say Happy Holidays and hope we all are big loosers after Christmas.
Since surgery I have lost 12 pounds, Since Aug. I have lost a total of 37 Pounds. I too am losing slowly, but on average its about 1.8 pounds per week, so I cannot complain. I just have to remember to get more Protein in because now being 4 weeks post op I am feeling hunger, but I am now onto the soft food phase and its much better then the blended.
I too really don't see how pple can gain on the mushie I was barely reaching 800 calories per day. But everyone is different.
Best Wishes to All and Happy Holidays Elizabeth:thumbup:

I have a clothes rack too! But an elliptical is WAY too much for me right now, I even know that! I will slowly build back up to that...I was at a point where I ws doing about 30 min/ 4 miles that was about a year ago....now I will just walk, slowly around the block to move around. Today is my last day of clear liquids, tomorrow I get shakes! WhooHoo! Never thought Id be so excited to get to drink a Protein Shake.< /div>I hear you on that one, I am ready for the pudding and shakes too. Clears is getting a little boring even tho I am not really hungry. It does not take much to fill me up either.
Soexcited that is funny, too bad you had to pay out of pocket although I suppose it will make you appreciate your band even more. I cannot believe its finally here. I just know that I am going to be hungry REALLY hungry come 9:45 since I am doing liquids. How are you doing on your liquids.?
I am in too but I am getting banded tomorrow, but I need to have all the support and ways to keep me on track that I can. I wanted to loose 30 by Jan 9th that is when my family gets together for Christmas so another whole month later we'll say maybe 45. Maybe high but I would rather shoot for high and take what happens in the end it gives me a goal to reach and challenge myself.
yes I am on the 25th and cannot wait, I am so sick of the liquids phase and feeling hungry after an hour. I also started my period yeah.
Hey all, I just started my 10 day liquid diet on Sunday which was the worst day for me, today was not too bad till about 3:30 when I got home I was starving.
I have 8 more days till surgery and cannot wait, I am so anxious.
Yes I have watched several of them. Especailly with my spouse. I wanted to prepare him for what was coming.
they are pretty graphic.

Hey Ladies,
I just wanted to add my journey to this long list. I started out in Aug. 2007 with my Doc and my husbands insurance carrier denied me in May of 2008 I was devestated.
Now I have my own insurance and was approved Oct. 6 and have restarted my Journey in Aug.of this year. I have a surgery date of Nov. 25th and history and physical with my doc on Nov. 12 and then get to start a 10 day liquid diet to shrink my liver.
I am so excited I cannot wait till its done and I get to start my new banded life.

I've never heard of that one. I'll have to check that one out. I am always looking for new reciepes.
thanks,
Elizabeth C.
I really like that one, but here's another one, Eating Well After Weightloss Surgery by Patt Levine and Michele Bontempo-Saray
Before and After by Susan Maria Leach is an autobiography as well as a cookbook. Very informative.
I did a lot of research for surgery.
Hey Ladies,
I was recently submitted to Cigna for Lapband Last week. I live in Vermont. How do I get a hold of someone to find out if I am approved, I hear you all talking about talking to someone at Cigna and your approved but how do you get there, do you call the 1-800# on the back of your card?
Part of me is dying to call them and the other part of me is like if I am approved I am and if the deny me they deny me.
