  1. I'm not. I can't handle regular meat yet. Tried a turkey burger the other day (no bun) and on the second bite I had to puke. I can tolerate ground chicken so I've been making buffalo chicken meatballs and I can only eat one and a half. Today I tried Triscuits with hummus and that sat well. I can actually feel full when I eat two other than that it's Greek yogurt and scrambled eggs. I'm going to try tuna fish with cucumber slices this week. Oh!! I did have two pieces of shrimp tempura sushi and I was fine with that and OMG YUM!
  2. You're welcome! The pic always helps ????
  3. They have it in our local grocery store here...ShopRite. It's fairly new. I'm glad they came out with it though because it tastes good. I have found it at gas stations also that carry a wide variety of drinks.
  4. When I get kidney stones its on my lower back and usually on one side. But it can happen in both. My pain is constantly there but gets stronger to the point where it's worse than labor. And yes, it does take your breath away. Try to increase your water intake and when I had then I drank this new drink that Ocean Spray has called PACt. I love the Cranberry Raspberry one and it has cranberry concentrate on it with only 10 calories in the entire bottle. It really helped. Feel better! attachment=55217:ImageUploadedByBariatricPal1438004166.518239.jpg]
  5. I haven't started exercising yet, but I bought new sneakers, so I'm in the right direction. I actually haven't had time to exercise. We had my daughters 6th birthday this weekend, so I've been running around like crazy. Cleaned the entire house in a day and before I was only able to clean a room. It feels so good to get my energy back. On a downside, my period is back!! Grrr...calling my gyno tomorrow.
  6. Oh yeah...about that pesky period...it's JUST ending for me, and it started 3 weeks ago. Maybe that's my problem too. Surgery messed me up big time with that. I've never had a period that long!
  7. Ok, glad I'm not the only one I figured it was a plateau. I was also worried I wasn't getting enough protein in. I'm afraid that I'm going to get another kidney stone! I'll try to slowly increase my protein intake this week and see how it goes. I've only been eating the 3 small meals and none go over 200 calories so I should be losing weight. Maybe it's time I get my butt in gear and start exercising.
  8. Anyone else's weight loss slow down? I've only lost 2 pounds this week. I guess I shouldn't complain, but it was nice to see the weight "melting" off for the first two weeks. But that was probably just water weight.
  9. Yup! Woke up this morning...went to the bathroom...black granules in the toilet bowl!! And no pain!!! That's it, I'm strapping a water backpack to me at all times. Lol
  10. Yes only for 2-3 days. Thank God. My reflux is a lot better. I only have the back pain now. Just waiting for this stone to pass. I constantly drinking now!
  11. It was actually the damn lentils. Go figure!!
  12. Update on my back pain and reflux: I went to the dr and the reflux feeling is actually food getting stuck. Dr told me to go back to Stage 2...ugh! But that's not the worst of it. The back pain my dr suspects is kidney stones! Apparently it's common for Gastric Bypass patients to get because our diets are high in protein. I have to drink lots of water...which pretty much I'll be sipping all day. And I just have to let it pass. He gave me some liquid Tylenol with Codeine but that's just taking the edge off. It's gonna be a rough couple of days. I just hope it passes soon.
  13. I'm not on anything. Maybe he will give it to me now.
  14. I started having what feels like reflux last night...I think it was the lentils!! And also I have pain underneath my right shoulder blade that is a burning feeling. I had my gallbladder out in April so it's definitely not that. I called my dr today and they're having me come in tomorrow because what I'm describing "does not make sense." Go figure. Ugh. I took some of the liquid pain mess left over from surgery to try to ease the pain. It did go away, but then about 10 minutes ago I was laying down trying to go to sleep and my diaphragm started cramping and the pain in my back escalated. I got up and the pain went away within 2 minutes. Ugh!!! WTH!!!
  15. Actually no. I just chewed it very well. The chicken was chopped up really fine so it was tolerable. The lentils mash in your mouth.
  16. Here's a recipe packed with Protein my hubby made for me last night. It was so good my kids ate it for dinner also. 1 tablespoon olive oil 2 pounds chicken pieces 1 large onion chopped 1 carrot chopped garlic lots and lots of garlic 3 cloves min 1/2cup dried lentils green 1/2 cup dried red lentils 2 cups Water 1 tbsp better then bullion chicken flavored 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup diced tomatoes 1/2 tablspoon black pepper 1 tablespoon fresh basil 1 tablespooen hot sauce 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper Brown chicken in oil then remove chicken, in same pan add garlic onions and carrots, once soft add lentils and cook about 3 mins on med high add in red pepper and all seasoning minus basil add bullion and tomatoes let cook until everything comes together 2-3 mins stir is water slowly let simmer on low 35-40 mins covered then stir is basil and chicken cut up turn off heat and wait 5 mins and eat. That's about 30 grams of protein and 2 grams of fat about 300calories and 35 carbs 30 of which is Fiber it's super great diet food packed with flavor and very filling that's enough to serve my family. Hope this helps some of you! It was absolutely delicious. And packed with fiber and protein!
  17. I believe so. I had it.
  18. SCRAMBLED EGG DAY!! Woohoo!!!! I could only eat 1/3 of it but it tasted so good!!! Then my husband made me lentils with ground up chicken and that was amazing too. Anyone else try "new" foods this week? I'm learning that I actually do like healthy foods as long as they're flavorful.
  19. I had RNY also. So far it's been pretty easy for me. The surgery was nothing. My cesareans were worse. Hardest part right now is going out and enjoying summer life without food being a part of it.
  20. Welcome! And congrats on your surgery! Hope you are recovering quickly!
  21. Yup! 3 sips! I couldn't believe it.
  22. Well...I had my first dumping experience (yes, already!) last night. My kids got a strawberry banana smoothie and I took about 3 sips and about half an hour later I was done! No gas pains or diarrhea, but it felt like I had an elephant on my chest, heart racing, felt like I couldn't get air in. Best I can describe it as is an anxiety attack. I asked my hubby what the heck was going on with me and he said that's a form of dumping. Lasted for what seemed like forever, but in reality it was about 10 minutes. Needless to say I won't be trying anymore smoothies for awhile...
  23. Glad you're doing well @@smileybear76
  24. @@smileybear76 I am having trouble with water myself. I want to chug it so bad because my mouth is so dry. I think I'm going to go to the store this afternoon and get some Popsicles.
  25. I've been very tired also. I'm not motivated to do anything. I've got the aches and pains too. Yesterday all my major joints were achy and my arms felt very heavy. My husband...who had surgery a year and a half ago said its part of the process and to push through the pain...yeah ok...as far as the BMs go, I haven't had that yet but I also haven't had a BM since Monday. Might be because I'm still on liquids. I can start mushy foods on Monday. And I'm dying for that.
