i dont think 38 is low isnt a normal bmi around 29

my post op didnt say anything about returning doing exercise. I waited until majority of pain was gone and i started a low impact cardio aerobics at home and i have no problem. but everyone is different you have to work and do things at your own pace. what ever makes you feel comfortable i guess.:whoo:

How long & what to expect...

i dont see why it shouldnt depends on your insurance company. What i did is i called the insurance before i went to the doctor to see if they cover it if it was medically necessary cause i felt why go through all that work if they are just gonna deny it. but remember make sure all paperwork necessary is sent in to get your approval even if you think they probably wont need it send it anyway.youll make it and youll love it gl in your journey of becoming a bandster! -
nothing wrong i see except the bread. lol remember chew chew chew chew and puree it if your in that phase of diet
-
i dont think communion would hurt one bit just chew it up until its all soft enough to eat
-
i am not sure i think after the areas are completly healed over and there is no scabbing left i on the other hand have staples and i cant take a bath until i get my staples out.

hang in there if the nausea dont stop you might have to call dr to get you some phenergan to stop the nausea cause thats probably why you cant keep the water down. if doctor is closed go to er they will give you some phenergan. chin up after you get thru this things will look up!
-
dont worry this is normal your doctor probably put a 10 cc band or a 14 cc band on you but. just keep to the post op diet. it was hard for me to about day number 9 on liquids i was starving beyond belief now im on stage 2 pureed/mushy stage and now that i can eat i feel so much better. im lucky to eat a 1/2 cup but it still feel good to chew things. youll make it i havent hit eating totally solids yet. and once your able to get a fill in you feel restriction to where you feel full. but just hang in there things will work out.

dont give up youll get it mine denied me too until my pcp wrote a letter of recommendation. that usually does the trick with insurance companies. to have a your pcp and surgeon both write a letter of recommendation. good luck youll get it.

try some hot decaffinated tea and maybe that will help the swelling go down. im sorry to hear about this. but i know when my uvula swells up like that when im sick the hot tea sorta helps it go down -
seeing as im still in pureed stage breakfast i had 1/2 of fruit 1/4 cup of cottage cheese pureed Lunch 1/4 of cup of chicken with fat free italian dressing for flavor pureed and 4 bites of yogurt then i was full Supper. when it comes a yogurt cottage cheese if im lucky to eat the cottage cheese since having this band i finally feel fullness so i never finish what i eat. i eat a snack at night about 9pm and im having some fatfree sugar free pudding
-
i read on the lap band site that you shouldnt really drink alcohol cause of calories and fat content in some and the yeast content too but they say a small glass of wine would be ok
-
try to get soups with low sodium seeing is how low sodium can retain water. but i dont really see much of a difference with it since even though you make a cup you dont always finish a cup. i used wylers bullion cubes instead of the campbells soup. that way i didnt have to worry about taking out the chunks during my liquid phase. im now on pureed/mushy phase . and i can barely eat a half of cup and im satisfied. but i love it cause before i never knew when to stop.

what made me do it is merely for health reasons i have been over weight my entire life and now that im older and the profession i work in back pain and and from family history of diabetes stroke and so forth i didnt want that. so i researched it for 4 years into weight loss surgery. i finally got and insurace to pay for it. i did it. the only perks that i really love with the outcome this is i can wear normal clothes again.

have you started any low impact cardio aerobics yet. that seems to get my energy up.

one month out and having some nausea
reif78 replied to andielmt's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
probably from all the sugar in the candy. its good to back on the diet to see if the nausea subsides if it dont i would call your doctor she might prescribe phenergan. If ya need that candy every once in a while for a quick fix they do make sugar free candies carry some with you see if that is anybetter usually at candy stores that make the candy homemade make sugar free stuff. gl i hope things work out well -
every one is different but you should feel full once your done eating. you also have to have a little willpower to know you only can eat 3 times a day. if you feel you need a snack make sure it is sugar free and fat free. but when i eat i usually feel full until my next meal.
-
i know this sucks but you need to drive in thier and straighten it out if you do it by phone you wont get no where. things will work out and good luck youll love it when you get it done
-
not it dont cause sliming i just started on my mushy stage today and i chewed until i couldnt chew now more then swollowed and had no problems. as far as drinking. they say not to do that because if you drink while eating the liquid makes you fuller which then you dont finish the food that you need to eat to get in your protiens and nutrients you need in daily.
