pureed phase question...

my doctor told me to eat a cup of food 3 times a day. and that i dont have to eat til im full just eat until im not hungry any more. so sometimes you may not have that full feeling. You will feel the full feeling once you get a fill they tell me. but you dont seem to be doing nothing wrong. but maybe try eating with baby spoons and slow your eating down a little bit and maybe youll get that full feeling.
3. congrats on your band hope everything goes good for you.

silly question....

yes u could if you eat to much food
8.
its understandable feeling the way you do i too felt the same way. just take one day at a time. after your surgery you will have what they call the 6 week hell diet 2 weeks liquids 2 weeks mushies and then 2 weeks soft foods and then on to regular foods. yes your right about the bread and soda . but some people can tolerate and eat the bread some cant. toast your bread if you like bread it will be better cause its not soft and doughy to where it would get stuck. as far as soda every once in awhile having a soda wont hurt but heres the catch. it has to be diet with no sugar or calories andd heres the best part after that you have to let it go flat so you dont get no carbonation cause the carbonation gives you gas and it will stretch your pouch. ill tell you what i was a mountain dew aholic!!!! but after i had the surgery and doing the liqiud phase . i dont miss it as long as i have my crystal light and water im ok. right now im on my last week of mushies. gonna be starting soft food next. i feel great and i dont regret it one bit. i love my band ill be able to eat what i did before as well as you. but now i make healthier choices and i bake and steam everything instead of fry. but as i was saying youll be able to eat things you did before just in smaller quantities. dont worry youll do great!

9. i remind myself everyday that i want to wear normal clothes everytime i go into a store now i have to buy plus size shirts and i swear they all have granny flowers on them yuck!! i want to wear regular pants doing the pants dance to get pants on is getting old with me i never have a happy medium right now i either buy them and they are too baggy or they fit but a little tight. i want more energy to get outta bed exactly when i wake up. not roll over and fall back asleep. i to wanna ride rides and be comfy in the seats. and i want to fit in where i live if you aint thin you aint shyt and they talk shyt on you about being fat
10. just tell them better out than in if you leave it in it can cause problems lol!!!:heh:

liquid diet trouble

its a struggle. i didnt have to do a pre op diet. but post op your on liquids for 2 weeks. i got headaches too from caffiene and sugar withdraw but i made it and its well worth it good luck in your journey to good heath you can do it. only drink a slim fast breakfast lunch and dinner get water and crystal light for inbetween.
14. congrads on wanting to be banded. I know i went through the 6 months of requirements for insurance and it sucks to have to wait . But in the end its well worth it. just remember after you have it done the first 2 weeks are the hardest being on nothing but liquids. i hated that stage now im on mushies i have 3 more days of it and im starting to get sick of that as well. but its worth it ive lost a good amount of weight for my first 3 1/2 weeks mostly water weight but hey its pounds off. good luck in your journey any questions just ask im sure all your questions fears and concerns are answered some where on this forum!
15. i dunno maybe im crazy or something. i left hospital when i was banded went to get my paycheck went cashed it went shopping to finish for christmas and went home. i felt great. had no problems at home except for the shoulder pain i got on my 5th day post op but other than that i felt great. about 1 1/2 weeks post op i started aerobics. and now im 3 weeks post op and still feel great. maybe im from another planet to be able to take pain and surgeries so well. they say aliens live among us i must be one.!! lol:wacko:
16. hello yes your thoughts of this surgery and so forth are normal. i have been over weight all my life to. but i just took that risk i have been banded for three weeks now and i feel great. you can do it. chin up get a positive attitude. just say to your self every day you look in a mirror and say i can do it. think of how much healthier and how much energy you will have once the weight comes off. you will not die during surgery your doctor will make sure of that. thats why you have to do some of the requirements before surgery. to make sure youll go through the surgery alright. you doctor wouldnt let you go through it if he thought there was a risk to your life . its ok to have fears about things. but i would take that risk it is worth it. and yes i often thought of whether or not my attitude would change after the weight loss maybe it will. but you are who you are skinny or fat. but i feel so much better since doing it. youll love it.

scared of being thin?

hello my name is shelly i too have felt some of the things you have. but i took the risk anyway and had it done and i feel better about myself. I dont think its more that i feel scared of being thin though I feel scared of mentally being different towards people i love after i lose the weight. I mean i fell in love with my fiance being heavy is that gonna change when i lose the weight, will i see a new horizon of opportunies out there, one never knows . I got this surgery cause of heath issues, but mentally being picked on all my life because of my weight and not fitting in anywhere to losing all the weight and fitting into society. One will never know just take one day at a time. everyone is different and thinks different. you do what your heart tells you and you will go down the path god choses you to. i hope this helped ! :nervous
