i would imagine your eating to fast and to big of bites. try to take a small bite put fork down and chew chew chew. I havent had any problems like that at all.i guess im a lucky one. i have always been a fast loser but my problem was keeping it off. but this is my second fill so im afraid to jump into eating right now so im doing a day of liquids.. but your weight loss is great. remember everyone loses at different rates. keep posted all your doing great!

what your feeling is normal weve all had thoughts like that. but you have to do what your heart tells you. if you dont take the risk of doing it you might regret it! i did it and ive lost 42 pounds so far in 7 weeks. and i feel so much better. dont worry about when your 80 and living with the band. cause if you think about it by that time you will be so used to the band and how to eat. you wont even think that you have a band. but you gotta think about today. you obviously are unhappy and unhealthy with the weight you are now, so do something about it. this band isnt a miracle cure but it will help you eat better. and make healthier choices in food and help you with the weight loss and you will feel so much better with yourself. i mean ive only loss 42 pounds so far but i have more energy i am able to play with the kids with out getting tired and i sleep better. i have sleep apnea but its not as bad as it was before. but you also have to incorporate the exercise in to to help lose the weight. you can do it . we all wonder about the what ifs. but if you dont take that risk later on down the road youll regret it. especially health wise.

hello all hope things are good for all. im not sure of docs who do rivision with lapband for those whove already had bypass but ive heard of it done!!. as far as ones who are considering lapband. depends on insurance on whether they will cover you just gotta call insurance co and ask thats what i did i have bcbs and they covered it. i live north of pittsburgh about 30 miles anyone can drop a line for questions or doctors info if want!
-
omg they are way wrong! try explaining to them that with the band you have less surgical risks. Its reversible if there is problems unlike the bypass that isnt. you also have more of a death risk with bypass then banding. of course you probably read all that. I just am way against bypass . hope things go well for you keep posted

reif78 replied to bjs's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
i only had to do liquids for 2 weeks post op. and usually they fix the hiatal hernia during surgery. if you think about it being just on liquids your sugar shouldnt go very high since your drinking sugar free products. for two weeks. If you like hot tea or ice tea just make sure its decaf tea and you use sugar substitutes like splenda or equal. and yes take your sugar religiously so you knwo where its at. you will do great . and you will love the band i know i do -
they cant deny you once they approve you!! have your doctor write a letter of recommendation and then file an appeal and threaten them with lawyers theyll change there mind!

dont be so hard on yourself we all lose weight at different paces. i lost 40 pounds since the 12th of dec. i found when i was at 34 pounds lost i plateaued for 2 weeks and i was like what am i doing wrong!! i normally take in 800-1000 cal a day. so someone told me to increase cal for 2 days then go back down to my 800-1000 and by god it worked. but you say you take in 1200 a day try decreasing it too 1000 for a few days then go back up to your 1200 and step up on the exercise and see if that helps. hang in there this band will work for you!! start writing a food and exercise journal. go to myplate.com or fitday.com do your journals through there it will track food cal and exercise. maybe that will help. you can and will do this. weight loss may go slow but it will come off.!! -

you shouldnt have to resend nothing your self the surgeon whom your husband is using should take care of everything in the matter of appeals and so forth. have your family pcp write a letter on your husbands behalf and give it to the surgeon and have them refax all his paperwork including the letter of recommendation from your family pcp hopefully that will help i know it did for me.

hello how are you wtg on being banded. first off that is not true you will lose as much weight as the effort you put forth. its understandable for family to say things like that cause maybe they dont really understand what or how the band works. as far as your doctor is concerned maybe he dont understand how the band works either . the band is not a quick fix you will not lose it over night it will take time to lose what you want. But it can happen. this band is a tool that will retrain you how to eat and what to eat as well. and it helps you lose the weight. but remember you have to make the effort. learn to read labels. make sure your meals are high protien that will help you stay full longer and help you get full faster there for you will lose weight. also low fat low cal foods and low carbs as well and drink lots of water or crystal light. if you like tea as long as its decaf tea and change from sugar to splenda. YOU CAN DO THIS. dont let no one tell you different. OH YEAH LOTS OF EXCERCISE!!!! 30 minutes a day minimum. hope this helped!!!! im a month banded and i have lost 35 pounds good start but now that im on regular solid foods it will slow a bit. and eat until your either tired of eating or full. i eat a cup of food 3 times a day and 1 snack before bed. i eat until food is cold then i stop. i drink water non stop. and remember chew chew chew before you swallow.
