    Feeling Full

@@Dub We really do give good advice, don't we... It's no wonder we're so popular... (With apologies to @@Lisa_85 for hijacking her thread...)
  2. For the record - When I posted my local weather report earlier, it was stupid o'clock and I was laying in bed, looking at the forecast on my phone... It's now daylight and I can confirm that I was completely misinformed.. It's a dark, overcast, shitty day here... The perfect day to write a couple of job applications and stalk some people on here... See you soon (even if you don't see me..... )

Depends how far out from surgery you are... I'm no expert, but I'd say the swelling would take a while to subside... It will also make a difference as to what you're eating... I'm sure you know, you'll eat less meat (chicken/beef/etc) than you will yoghurt (or similar)... Or maybe you're just not 'hungry'... Just see what happens... And if it's really troubling you, give your doc/nutritionist a call...

    Keep the appointment?

Well... Do YOU really need to go? Will YOU get value for your money/time/effort? If yes, then yes... If no, then... Well... I'm sure you get where I'm coming from...

    Nervous about surgery

I told everyone because "F**k what anyone else thinks!!" I did this for me... People can give me their opinions all they like.. It matters not... My body... My choice... And OH MY GOD was it the right choice... Do what you've gotta do to get yourselves happy and healthy... Don't let the ignorant, uneducated people in your life dictate your behaviours and actions..

    Tummy grumbles...

Yep - get used to it!!! I'm 13 months post op and am right now sitting here listening to my stomach growl at me for no apparent reason... I thought that after all this time it would have forgiven me for removing most of it but it seems that stomachs, like elephants, don't forget...

    Morning !

    I just want coffee!!!!
  9. Those who don't want help simply can't be helped.... I was the same... Didn't want help... Certainly didn't NEED it... As it turned out, I sorted myself out... I hope he does too..

My six month diet starts today.

Good luck to you!!!! Stay on top of things and don't ever hesitate to come in here for support or advice...
  17. @@NewSetOfCurves In the unlikely event of it EVER happening, I'll be sure to take an extra special shot or two with you in mind and send them directly to your inbox.. You're obviously a sick kinda woman who will now regret taking any part in this section of the conversation...
  18. @@NewSetOfCurves Hahahaha.... Just making sure you were fully aware of what you were "looking forward to"... The idea is shocking enough without adding unexpected appendages to the mix....

    Staying Motivated

Of course, there's always the "f**k you" motivator... It may not be particularly healthy, but one can only utilise the tools one has at hand... If that's gonna get the job done then I say 'giddy up'...

    Clothes Getting Big

I tried to take a "bathroom mirror selfie" the other day but my tiny bathroom/ laundry space wouldn't allow it... I was going thru some clothes and throwing out my fat shirts when I thought I'd try one on... Wow... I really have lost some weight... I mean, I'm still a big dude.. But what the f**k??!!? I was THAT big?? A little perspective goes a long way! (I guess that's true on many levels) Anyway, I'll try over this long weekend to take a pic or two...

    Emotional Wreck

To some degree I'd say it happens to everyone... The physical manifestation my be different in that some will cry, some will be angry, some will etc, etc... But the reality is that, even after just a few days on the pre-op diet, your body is starting to undergo some changes... Add that to the "stress" of your impending surgery and subsequent "journey" and you're sure to be a little screwed up... Either that or you're just a big girly sooky la la... Relax, you're perfectly "normal"... And you're gonna be just fine.... To some degree I'd say it happens to everyone... Your support person

No worries at all... Any time!!!

    Your support person

I see... Well, I'd say you could have someone around for a week or ten days... I guess it'd be helpful in the case of something going awry... I do sometimes forget how lucky I was/am with my sleeve... Yeah, I'd say you'd be pretty much out of trouble by ten days or so... If in doubt, ask the people who provided the original information... I'm sure they'll happily let you know what they have in mind... All the best to you... And congratulations!!!
