    5-days post op

It's likely 'head hunger'... Your head telling your stomach that you're hungry rather than your stomach running the show... If you're medically allowed, try chewing some ice... It makes your head think that you've eaten because you're chewing... Or, again, if you're medically allowed, chew a piece of gum for a few minutes and drink some Water... The water fills you up and the chewing tricks the brain... PLEASE - Only do these things if your medical team approves!!!!
  4. @@Athenyx Ooohhhhh.. I do like it when you talk like that...

    Helppp!

Speak to a nutritionist... "Less than 600 cal" is likely not enough if you're "working out".. You may actually be starving yourself...
  6. Outstanding!! Well done to you... It's always a bit of a 'thrill' when people notice... Especially when you're only 10 days out!! Imagine what it'll be like in six months!!!!
  7. So, come on @@Athenyx What's happening? Did you survive the night? Are you covered in welts and stuff? And most importantly, have you managed to control your hair?? And just you know... It's 0704 Sunday morning and I'm sitting here with my triple espresso.... Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

Is it normal to be afraid ?

Hell yes!!! I was 45 when I had my sleeve done in Feb last year... It was my first surgery and I was SH*TTING myself!! Looking back, it was justified... For no reason other than 'stuff happens'... It's true... Bad shit can happen... It's rare... But it happens... HOWEVER... 13 months on and I'd do it over and over again if necessary... It is BY FAR the best thing I've done... Absolutely worth the risk... Don't let the fear stop you...

  11. Blah blah blah... See you soon!!! Sweet dre... Oh... Never mind.. Nite...
  12. There'll be no dreams for you tonight... There'll be laying there twitching and scratching... So, off you go now.. You go and 'sleep' And if, some time in the next six hours or so, you find yourself unable to nod off and looking for a little moral support, you come and find me... I'll be sitting here sipping coffee, smiling and not scratching!!!
  13. Really @@Athenyx You think a bug or two ground up in my coffee (which still tastes like coffee) is worse than laying there in a swarm of bugs so angry and hungry that they're biting you enough to make your hair frizz?? I think you've chosen the wrong person to go up against here... But hey... If you want a shot at the title then you go right ahead... It's not yet 6pm here and I can do this for HOURS!!!
  14. Yeah, I do jest... But that's because it's not me... Oh wait... Noooooooooo... Not the hair!!! Don't mess up the hair!!! Hahahahaha,,, But I digress... coffee is good... There... Back on track...
  15. It's only 5 20pm here so I should be ok... You're not gonna sleep anyway... Not with the bedbugs and all...

    Got my sleeve on 3/30

I had no tube or the like so I've got no info there.. As far as 'info or tips' the entire site is full of them... So my only tips are as follows... - Don't be afraid to ask questions - in the forums or via PM. - Remember that most of the info you get here is anecdotal and generally what has worked for that particular person - It may not work the same for you. For YOU specific information, talk to your medical team. - Protein, Water, protein, water, protein, water... Good luck to you... Stay positive and stay posting!!
  17. I think I'm going to get a coffee now...

    PROTEIN SHAKES!

Your head appears to be in the right place @@sbdooly73 The chances are, you'll be able to sort something out with your Protein... You'll get various opinions here but the important one is the opinion of your NUT... They're the ones who will know all the appropriate details to give you advice that's pertinent to your situation... The best of luck to you... I look forward to seeing you post your updates in here...

    Itchy skin

I concur with @@kranky813 Talk to your doc and find a brand of Vitamins that don't make you ill... Get whatever tests done and stay on top of things... Good luck to you...
  20. I've just had a look and found a plethora of information... All I did was Google "cravings and what they mean".. I couldn't find the exact site I mentioned earlier but the information is the same... It may not work for you but it's definitely worth a look..
  21. @@Athenyx It's not us... Our attitude doesn't change... It's THEM... You know - the stupid people... They can sense when we've not been caffeinically (made-up word) satiated... And they act on it... We're the victims here!!! Victims I tells ya!!!

I didn't think it was so literal

It ends... How soon I'll not say... But it ends... I didn't suffer the constipation side of things... So you may get lucky... Either way, everything changes over time... Ya just gotta stick with it... You'll be right...
  23. I'd have snapped someone in half had I not been able to have my coffee... I'm not addicted... I just... Oh stop judging me!!!

    2.5 Years Post-Op, 1 Year at Goal

Congratulations and Happy Anniversary @@AvaFern I can only read with some envy all those who have achieved goal and are maintaining... I'm 13 months in and an hoping to hit 'goal' by year's end... It's still about 90 pounds away but with some work, I know it's achievable... And it's posts like this which will provide the kick in the arse that I need along the way.. So thank you...
  25. Great info there @@Bufflehead I'd just like to add the following if I may.. - Generally speaking, a craving is your body lacking in something. It could be as simple as Protein or carbs, or as intricate as some sort of vitamin/mineral etc.. There are a number of websites which can fill you in on the details... There's one I know f which even suggests healthy alternatives.. eg Craving chocolate means you're lacking in Vitamin Yum so eat some broccoli ( ) to ease the craving.. Obviously that's not a real example but I'm sure you get the idea... If I can find it, I'll post the link here...
