'Normal' is subjective... But what you're experiencing is certainly not uncommon... You're body is going to rebel in some manner because you're suddenly depriving it of the sugary/salty/carby/whatevery goodness that it's been used to... You will probably get thru it without too much if a problem but if it persists, contact your medical support team... Good luck with it... Keep us posted...

G'day @@Mike Dumas Welcome and all the best to you... I was another 500+lb starter (565 actually) about 14 months ago... I've lost around 240 of those pounds so far and am well on the way... Mate, if you EVER have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask them, either here or in Private Message... As I'm sure you've noticed when you looked around, there's very little that's off limits and there's a whole lotta love and support in the place... Good luck to you mate... Keep us all updated!! So terrified of long term
KindaFamiliar replied to KittyCathy22's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
G'day @@KittyCathy22 I'd not usually reply to a post like yours because you're really in need of stuff that I'm not much good at.. But there's something that I'd really like to say to you... I know you're a little messed up at the moment and that's ok.. You've got your sh*t to sort out and I'm pretty sure you'll get there... The reason I'm sure you'll get there is because you have what many of us here do not have... Youth... Now, I'm not calling you a kid... But you're a young woman.. And as far as I'm concerned, you're a smart young woman... Not only that but you're a courageous young woman... At the YOUTHFUL age of 22 (nearly23) you've had the balls to step up and take control of your life... You've done that now, before you get to the point that some of us old relics got to.. You know the stuff... Creaking bones... Aching joints... Flabby bits.. Honestly, that some madd decision making skillz... (I'm all over the cool talkin' stuff, yo) Now, I'm not p*ssing in your pocket and saying stuff because I think it'll make you feel better... I don't do that... (And some here will attest to that..) But give yourself some credit here... You've changed your life... You have... And for that, I simply want to congratulate you... Take care.. Stay courageous... -

Any Prince fans out there who want to see a kick-arse tribute? Google "Springsteen Purple Rain", sit back, enjoy.. It's the sh*t!!

The guitar solo is something special...
You can hear Prince coming thru loud and clear...
Best tribute I've seen by far...
I hope you enjoy it @Chrystee

TMI QUESTION️
KindaFamiliar replied to Sandra86says's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
No such thing as TMI in this forum... And, generally speaking, nothing going in will equate to very little coming out... As you can see, everybody is different... But at 5 days out, I'd say you're still in the 'nothing to worry about' place... -
@@Elode Yep, skin off for me too... I like the taste of the skin but I don't like the residual scales that are always there... You miss out o a few of the good fish oils this way but I'm ok with that... @@Christinamo7 Why do you and your kind (womenfolk) feel it necessary to toy with my emotions on so may levels.. This time, it's culinary teasing... Am I not nice to EVERYBODY?? Am I not wise and giving? Am I not overdoing it somewhat but at the same time, unable to stop myself?? I think that,in time, you all will see the errors of your ways... And THAT is the day I'll be shown the respect that I so richly deserve.. Or something...

I'm THE WORST person in the world to talk about other human interactions but I'll give you my current take on your query.. Just go do it... Find something you like to do... Preferably something legal.. Find a group that is already doing it... Join in.. If all those people suck, move on to another group.. Eventually you'll strike up something with someone... Use this forum as a starting place... So many people with so much in common here... Ok, it's not necessarily gonna be coffees and play dates.. But (from what I hear), an e-friend can be every bit as good as a 'real life' friend.. I reckon friends are like taxis... When you don't need one, there's hundreds around.. But when you need one - nothing!! But that may just be my bitter, realistic side showing... You'll be fine... Unless you're some sort of freak... And even then, there'll be a group somewhere for such people.. Good luck on your Quest my friend!!!

Warm Weather NSV
KindaFamiliar replied to Sophie74656's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Flip flops were NOT what I was hoping for when I saw "Warm Weather NSV"... And for the record, here in Australia, we call flip flops thongs... And what you call thongs, we call niiiiiiiiiice (G-string actually)... Anyway... Good on you for whatever you said after 'flip flops'... I kinda lost interest once I saw that.. -

I'm sleeved and I love it... I'd recommend it to anyone who would benefit from it... However... I've no idea about your situation and would therefore not be making any recommendations... You're better off talking to PROFESSIONALS who can give you advice based on research etc, rather than the (generally and mostly) anecdotal information here... Welcome to the show...

Scarring and how many incisions?
KindaFamiliar replied to Lizardlady's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had six incisions... Still do actually... Five are very small and hard to find amongst my hairy, saggy bits... The other is slightly larger and slightly easier to find - but still difficult.. They really are nothing... -
I've just done up 8 serves of Atlantic salmon and broccolini with a garlic, chili, anchovy and mustard sauce... That will be lunch and dinners for the week... I'd post a pic but it looks like arse... I've had to squash it into round containers so it's not good... I'll do pics once I get some different containers...
