Yes the hair is natural. I don't take one prescribed medication. I haven't taken an asprin for 2 years. My Dr. just says, "Oh, that's a common side effect and will slow down." So I killed him. Not really but JEEZ! I haven't had health insurance for a few years but it will kick in around next month. I plan to see every dermatologist or whatever specialist I need to see. I appreciate the feedback and will not stop this search until I get an answer. Just like with my near death experience with acid reflux, I hope when I find answers to my problems, they will benefit someone else. Christine

I am glad that hair loss doesn't seem a big deal to you. Very healthy attitute I imagine. But as a woman who was told my whole life that my hair was my finest feature...I am crushed. More than the vanity issue is the perplexing medical question and lack of answer. Where are the answers? Where's that doctor who is supposed to be on this site?? I just had a complete blood panel done and all my levels are fine. That was my first order of business, trust me. Am I hormonal? Beyond. Do I love my band? I love wearing a size 10 jeans. I love dating a hot plastic surgeon who thinks I am sexy. I love walking around naked. (oh wait..I did that when I was fat.) Yeah, I like my band. Christine

I agree that we should search before continuing to ask the same question over and over again but the fact is that I am SCARED of my hair loss and nobody can give me an answer as to why it's happening!!!!!!! It is not a Protein issue. So, what is it??? This can't be right. WHat have other doctors said about it???? I need al lthe help I can get and don't want to have thin hair. When the problem is happening to you....it's scary and you want to talk about it. Somebody just give me the answer and I'll shut up about it. Christine

Please someone tell me that they have experienced this hair loss! I started out with really thick hair. I would say now it looks thin. My hair falls out in such record numbers that I have to carry around a lint roller at all times. I was banded last November and the hair loss started around 6 months after. Will it stop? I drink a Protein shake everyday. I think I am getting enough protein. Will it grow back? Don't even get me started on this stupid site kicking me off for the last 3 weeks. I had to open a yahoo account just to log back on. I didn't even want a yahoo account! Christine

Thanks for the words. I guess I am just freaked out by the amount of hair comming out. When people are actually commenting that they can tell a diference in my hair.....something is wrong. Anyone have any good solid reason as to WHY this is happening??? If it's not a Protein thing. Then what? Anyone? Christine
