Hello. I am 7 months post op sleeve and am traveling to texas for vacation next week. It's supposed to be over 100 every day I'm there. I plan on getting lots of Water immediately off the plane and there will be A/C in most places. Wondering how anyone deals with the extreme heat and stays hydrated enough?! Hello everyone. Some friends and I want to go to a sushi place to Celebrate a birthday. I was wondering if anyone with sleeve has been able to sushi. The rices they use is different so idk if it will go ok. The seafood would have lots of protien and it's always yummy. Anyone have any history or suggestions for this? Weigh in 243. Thank you! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk -
I've been eating Snap pea crisps. The grocery store near me has tons of flavors from tomato basil to blacked pepper and ceasar. They are crunchy and delicious. 110 cals and 5g protien. 12g carbs. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

Hello everyone. I am looking for some Chinese food recipes or maybe healthy things to eat when I order out. Definitely not an every day or every week thing but just something every once in a while. Ideas??? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

I make califlower rice a lot but never thought of making fried rice that way. Thanks for the idea! And I will definitely look into trader Joe's. Frozen and already riced would be much easier! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

Spices, Seasonings, Herbs, and Condiments
meganliz0824 replied to Inner Surfer Girl's topic in Food and Nutrition
My staples are chipotle Tabasco, jalapeno salt, and greek seasoning. Not all 3 at once but I use at least 1 or 2 every day. Greek seasoning is great on ground meat or chicken. Same with the jalapeno salt. A little goes a long way. And chipotle Tabasco... I put some of that on everything. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk -
Wondering if anyone had their surgery and never got a barroom swallow or some type of radiology after surgery.
meganliz0824 replied to rgallardo's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I personally had an ugi the next day after surgery but I have heard of some doctors testing while you're still asleep. So that could happen but they should always check first before you eat or drink Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk -

I've done califlower crust pizza and pizza on part of an English muffin. Also low carb tortilla as a crust. Wonton wrappers work great too. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

Boy did that rub me the wrong way...
meganliz0824 posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I'm going to vent a bit here and looking for some support. Maybe constructive criticism. Last night in bed with my boyfriend he was rubbing by back and belly and grabbing at my rolls. I said hey soon you won't be able to do that and he said "yeah ok" and "nope" little remarks. I asked what he meant and he said well you eat how you did before surgery just less. I have never been so angry. I am 3 months post op and have lost 50 pounds. I don't eat half the things I used to before. We used to order out and run through mcdonalds all the time and I haven't don't that at all. I eat much healthier than I ever have. There are a couple things I probably shouldn't have had but I'm still fairly new and learning this new life. Someone please tell me I'm not crazy and I can do this!!! Really hurt right now. Thank you for your insight. I'm sure some of my choices haven't been the best but he doesn't point it out to me. I will talk to him and ask for better communication. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk -

He has a bit of a beer belly but not obese. He is doing biggest loser at work and has lost 10 lbs so far. We have been together 2.5 yrs and he is usually so supportive. I think he thought I would lose weight more quickly. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk -

I work in a hospital setting so I had access to this before surgery. It is fabulous. You can find it cheaper on amazon but it is definitely worth it. https://www.interdry.com/ Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk -
Favorite Greek Yogurt
meganliz0824 replied to Threetimesacharm's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I like taking the yoplait greek whipped yogurt and throwing it in the freezer. Take it out like 5 or 10 mins before you want to eat (if your freezer is super cold like mine) then enjoy. The vanilla cupcake one is heavenly. So is the strawberry cheesecake one!! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk -
So I'm 3 months post op and have a physically active job. I was running around and got really thirsty. Grabbed my bottle and after about 4 or 5 big gulps I quickly was reminded my belly doesn't like that.. funny how we forget the simple things sometimes. That's a mistake I won't make again for a while. Ugh haha Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

I have upmc insurance and it didn't take very long. They told my 7-10days and it took like 8 days. Plus I don't think they really submitted when they said they did. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk -
Yes I used my fsa for copays and bills from the hoops before the surgery and surgery itself. Plus pays for my prescriptions too. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

Did you need blood?
meganliz0824 replied to Juhygtfrdsd's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
It's done laproscopic so you shouldn't need blood unless you take blood thinners and they hit an artery which is rare. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk -
