Hello Everyone! I hope everyone is doing good. I had my third fill on Thursday, May 15. I have now lost 41 Pounds!:woot: Hollygurl- How was your surgery? Is everything going okay? It has been a long time since I have posted. I hope everyone is doing good. I have had my second fill and I can tell that I have more restriction. I think I still need at least one more fill to get to the perfect fill level. I have my three month follow-up with Dr. Edwards on Tuesday, May 13. I need to keep exercising more regular. Debbie and I have started walking on lunch and that has been fun! I Hollygurl-Just think only two more days on the liquid diet. You can do it! I remember it was difficult but well worth it. The liquid diet is important for the surgery to go successful. Heather from Dr. Edwards office said that it is more difficult to do the surgery if someone has not followed the liquid diet. Keep your head up and you are at the final stretch of the liquid diet. I will be thinking of you on Friday. Keep us posted. There have been so many new people since I last posted. Hello to Everyone! Hello Everyone! I had my first fill today. I was very nervous about the fill but everything went Great. Heather was very nice and informative. I guess time will tell if I have any restriction. Heather said that I probably would not be able to tell until I have had a few fills. Maziemommy - That is great on the 1.5 miles and on your BandAnniversary! You are doing Awesome! klkirk_2001 - Congratulations on your band. I had my surgery a month before yours on February 13. When did you have your Behavioral Class? Mine was January 28. GrannyK - I am so excited for you that you are finally feeling restriction. Hollygurl _ Any news on your surgery date? I hope everyone had a Great Easter! Maziemommy- What were you doing up in the moiddle of the night? I was up at the same time. I had to catch a flight to Dallas. I was suppose to leave yesterday around 5pm but all flights were cancelled going to Dallas. I got her this morning and I missed the first 1.5 hours of training. I did not have to get a seat belt extender so that was Great! I hope everyone has a Great Weekend. Good Bye from Dallas! Hollygurl - Congratulations!

Thank you both for your responses. I will have to look out for the cucumber wrap or aks for the soybean paper without rice if I have problems once I get a fill. I love sushi so that makes me feel better that I will still be able to have sushi with just a few modifications. Thanks!

Do you have any problems with the sushi rolls? I got banded on February 13 and I love sushi rolls. I was not for sure if I was still going to be able to eat sushi. Thanks!

I was banded on Februaury 13 and have lost 26 pounds. It is starting to be hard because of my hunger. (Two week pre-op diet)

My port incision has been really sore, too. I am one week and five days post-op. My Doctor said that it is because the port is stiched to my muscle. Each day the incision gets better. It is still sore when I walk fast. I hope your follow-up with the Dr. goes okay. Keep me posted. Kimberly

Hello Everyone, My week follow-up with Dr. Edwards, last Thursday, went good. I have been able to start eating. So far so good. I do not have that much of an appetitie, which is good. I started back walking today. Everyday I feel a little better. My first day back to work last Tuesday was really hard. I was so tired by the end of the day. Everyday at work has gotten easier. My port incision is still very sore. Hollygurl and Kathy I hope you enjoy the behavorial class tomorrow. I enjoyed the class. I hope everyone has a Great Week! Kimberly :thumbdown:

Hello Eveyone!!! I was banded on February 13. I am finally making my update. I went back to work this week on Tuesday Feb. 19. I am feeling pretty good. My port incision is still sore but my doctor said that is normal. I went for my one week follow-up today and he thought I was doing great. I get to start mushies. I am just going to be very careful because I do not want to gain back the weight I have lost. I hope everybody is doing great with their new bands. Kimberly

Hello Everyone! I finally am feeling like getting on the computer. I got to the Hospital @ 5:30am. They took me back around 6:40am. They had problems with my IV due to my veins being so deep. They were able to get it on the second try. I guess it was around 8:30am that Dr. Edwards came and talked to my family. I got back to my room around 10 or 11am. When the nurse asked about my pain on a scale from 1 to 10, I told it was a 10. I do not think the pain was that bad I was just really uncomfortable. It was around 2pm that I got released. They were short staffed due to the ice. Tonight I am sore but I am feeling pretty good. I have been walking around the house a lot to help with the gas. Maziemommy and Debbie you both said that you slept in your bed the first night home. Did you put a lot of pillows to keep you upright? The nurse told me not to sleep flat tonight because of the gas. I am trying to figure out how to sleep. My mom and husband have been very good taking care of me today. I will talk more later when I am more awake. Thanks Anna for posting this thread and thanks to everyone else for the well wishes! I have surgery scheduled for Wednesday morning. I live in Missouri and we have gotten a lot of ice so I am hoping a lot of the ice is gone by Wednesday. I am getting so excited for my surgery!!! Anna, I think we are on the same day (February 13th). What time is your surgery? I have to be at the hospital at 5:30am so I am thinking my surgery will be around 7:00am. Good Luck to Everyone. Tara5937- My surgery is also February 13. I am going tomorrow to finish all my last minute shopping for broths and things. I also agree that this site has been so helpful. Baby Ruth - I live close to you in Springfield, Missouri. I am being banded on February 13 in Springfield by Dr. Edwards at St. Johns Hospital. I am getting so excited for my band. Right now we have two poodel babies named Prince and Princess. I have struggled with my weight for most of my life. My husband and I want to have children so I am wanting to lose weight before getting pregnant. Good Luck to Everyone!

So far so good! :regular_smile: Today I actually felt that I had a lot more energy. I just can not believe that my surgery date is less than a week. I hope everyone is doing good.:tt1:

When I had a root canal with a lot of pain the antibiotics really helped make the pain go away. I almost thought I did not need to have anything done until I found out that the pain would come back. I hope the antibiotics help you.

Congratulations on getting a date. My surgery date for the lap band is also Wednesday, February 13. Do you have a pre-op diet? We will have to keep in touch. There are about three other people that are having their lap band surgery on Feb. 13.
