No energy 3 weeks post op

I have been feeling the same way at times. Talked to my dr and she recommended taking an extra multivitamin (take 1 twice a day instead of 1 once a day). Consult with your dr. I'm 4 weeks out.

What will I NEED after surgery?

I found these little measuring cups at Walmart that hold only 2 ounces and they are awesome. They show measurements by ounce, tablespoon, mL, and cup (which is 1/4). I also bought little bowls but don't use them because they are too big. I eat my puréed food out of my measuring cup, it's easier. Also take a baby spoon to the hospital for jello and broth if you're nervous about consuming too much at a time.

    Stalls...

My first week I dropped 10 pounds. These past two weeks have been slow. I stalled for about a week and now at almost 4 weeks out I feel like it's picking back up. I'm down about 17 pounds.

    Recovery time

I have a desk job and I went back to work in a week. Honestly I felt like I could have went back sooner. Everything for me went really well. I took pain meds like 3 days and I'm a big baby. Long story short I had a great experience and virtually no pain. I did do a lot of walking before surgery and as soon as I was able to get up and walk in the hospital I did. I walked a lot in the hospital and when I got home. I feel like it really helped with recovery. (I'm about almost a month out and feel like I'm almost 100% back to normal other than my eating habits)

    PAIN! Worry? Explainable?

My gas didn't start to move until week 2 and it was slow. I didn't get the shoulder/rib pain, or any pain really. I was uncomfortable but nothing to be alarmed about. Hope it gets to moving soon.
  6. I had a mild hernia that was repaid during my bypass surgery. I was only off a week. (My surgery was on a Tuesday and by that following Wednesday I was back at work. So I took 7 days off. I have a desk job tho).

    Food Processor Suggestions

I have a kitchenaid food processor and love it! It grinds meat very well. So if you're looking for something that will grind chicken and other meats I highly recommend kitchenaid.
