Hello Everyone, Let me introduce myself. My name is Enrique “Henry” Cortez, I am the Office Manager for Bariatric Pal Team MX. Having been born and raised in Tijuana, Mexico, I have the advantage of growing up in the highly dynamic and always changing bi-cultural environment of the Tijuana-San Diego area and I am 100% bilingual. I have a Bachelors in Communications from the Universidad Autonoma de Baja California. I have applied my knowledge and skills in the fields of Government Communications Offices, Television & Film industry, Logistics and Transportation, Customer Service, Sales, Technical Support, Telemarketing and Medical Tourism in the capacity of Team Leader, Supervisor, Coordinator and Manager. What can I do for you? I can help you with your invoice, financing, surgery date and anything related to coordinating your surgery. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding your surgery. Have a wonderful day!

Dumb question - I hope it won't offend

Hello Everyone, I live in TJ. So let me give the truth about the Water in Mexico. Please, please stick to BOTTLED WATER!!! Do not ever drink water from the tap. The Hospitals we work with will provide you purified water and ice chips, nothing to worry about there. Allways request bottled water at the hotels and any restaurants you visit and make sure that the bottles are sealed. Our recovery houses have water coolers and we alway use purified bottled water. If you have any questions regarding your upcoming visit to Mexico, you are welcomed to contact me. Happy New Year!!! -

Hello Everyone, Since I do work at BP's Offices in Tijuana and deal with patients coming and going every day, I would like to mention 2 things: 1 By Mexican Law any and all foreign nationals are required to have a valid passport to enter Mexico. The way Mexican Inmigration work is that they search cars randomly and most people are lucky not to be asked to present a passport. If by any chance you have the bad luck and are asked to present your passport and don't have one, believe it or not, you can be deported, and the driver imprisoned for trafficking illegals. 2 To reenter the U.S. you do need your passport or passport card (the latter is preferable). Even if Mexico does border the U.S., it is still international travel and you are subject to secondary inspection that could be time-consuming and could cause you to lose your flight. Please avoid any unnecessary problems and apply for your passport card. Thank you

My painful experience in Mexico
"Henry" replied to Fatty McFatster's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Hello Fatty McFatster, Sorry to hear about your experience. We really hope that you are feeling better. BP's Staff in Tijuana cannot interfere in regards to what medication or actions the doctors take, that is their job. I hope you understand this. Our staff did do everything possible to make yours and your wife's stay comfortable. Juan Palomo and Roberto Mezquita took it upon themselves to arrange unscheduled transportation for you and your wife at an early hour at which we do not normally do business. Yours was a very unusual case in which we and to make decisions on the go. In most cases we only have to worry about the Patient, your wife, and not the companion. This experience has made us value our staff in Tijuana even more. Thank you for your comments and we will take from this experience to better our services. -

Any Oregon members that had VSG in Mexico?
"Henry" replied to nmorgan45's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Hi CKKC, You are doing the right thing. RESEARCH! There are no complications in 99% of surgeries and most post-op complications occurred because patients did not follow their doctors indications after surgery. Our patients keep in touch with their doctors for months after surgery, even to ask, what they consider, dumb questions. But our surgeons are alway willing to help them out. -
