  1. Yes sorry I forgot to come back and post. I ended up staying an extra night at the hospital and right around 4:30 am it finally broke loose! What a relief! Today was my first full day back at home and I feel fantastic. I walked just over two miles today! I looking forward to adding more than just clear liquids to my diet on Wednesday!
  2. My pain level from surgery is minimal but my gas pain is intense. I cannot fart, only burp, so I've gained myself another stay in the hospital. Doing laps like a crazy woman and still cant get it to come!
  3. How are we all doing on the eve of surgery? I'm alone in a hotel room, waiting for panic to strike any moment. Got a little emotional when i hugged my little ones when they left, but I didn't let them see me cry
  4. My arrival time is 7:30 am Central!! Surgery scheduled for 9am! I'm so excited. My husband and two boys (9&5) are bringing me down tonight after school and then they are leaving. Husband has to work and boys still have school, I'm guessing this is when I will have my freak out moment!
  5. I get my arrival time tomorrow too!
  6. I have to give you all so much credit! I have one day of liquid diet, tomorrow, and I don't know how I'm going to survive! I have sticky notes everywhere!

    Where are you From ?

Nice to see another North Dakotan on here even if we are on opposite sides of the state. Yay! I'm in ND too!
  8. Hi!! So far so good! My process went really fast, I decided this is what I wanted in early March after nine years of debating doing it. On March 24th I had a mandatory information session to attend, I came prepared with all my paperwork filled out and by the next week they had received all my medical records. The following week I had my first pre-op visit with my surgeon and started my 1200-1500 calorie diet, and 2 shakes a day along with a Multivitamin. I had a psych eval on April 14th and was approved by insurance on the 6th of May! It has gone by so fast!! I'm not on a liquid diet up until the 24 hours prior to surgery, Clear liquids only and nothing after midnight. So nice to have found surgery buddies!!
  9. Hi I just found this forum today, I'm having gastric bypass on the 20th too!
