    Cost post op

I have surgery last week. I didn't buy to much before surgery. I picked up two or three cans of soup, sf Popsicles, sf jello and that was it. Oh and a four pk of the high protein slim fast shakes. They told me my taste will change and it sure enough did. I can't stand the slim fast shakes after surgery so they are just sitting in my kitchen. The taste of water even changes. Just make sure you have help when you come home and they are able to go to the store for you. Having a bag of ice on hand is good too. I put the ice in a sandwich bag and banged it around to make ice chips! I spent less the $20. Good luck!

    Down in the dumps!

Soft foods will defiantly make thinks a little better! Has anyone tried milk yet? I tried it twice and it was really good but I was nauseous. I don't know if it was the milk or if its because I am always nauseas these days. On line I found out Coke released a milk line and it has more protein and half the sugar. It's called Fair life. My mom has looked in several stores and hasn't found it yet. Anyone tried it or seen it?

    Down in the dumps!

Thanks guys! You've all been very helpful:)
  4. I have 4 and a tiny one where the drain was.
  5. Hello. I had the gastric sleeve done on 5/6/15 and I'm on the liquid diet. The past two days I've been really down in the dumps and questioning if I did the right thing to get this surgery. I know in my heart it was the right thing but my head is telling me different. I'm not really missing food it's the diet Pepsi. For some reason that's the one thing that my focus is on. Old habits die hard! I know it's so bad for you and refuse to even try it. It seems so silly but I think it's because I'm having a hard time finding options to drink. My nausea has been a big battle and even water can make it worse. My taste has changed so much. Anyways did anyone else have a day or two that was hard? Any suggestions of some good drinks to try? Also any suggestion for the nausea? I do have meds for it but that doesn't always do the trick. Thanks for your help!
