  1. Hello, I was sleeved May 15th. I'm dealing with the same issues. It's scary to allow oneself the permission to succeed.

    Post op day 3

Good evening, the same is occurring with me also. It happens even with jello but not so much with warm liquids(broths). I'm 9 days post op, but I also had a hernia repaired. I just transitioned to yogurts and soupy oatmeal. Because of the pain, I've limited those and decided on the broth a little longer. I too am praying it passes. Please keep me posted as to how anyone is/has handled this issue.

    What kind of broths?

Good morning. My surgeon suggested Swanson carton broth. I purchased the flavor infused broths Tuscany chicken, Louisiana Cajun, Thai Ginger, Chinese Hot and Sour, Mexican Tortilla. I'm 8days post op and can tolerate each one. I dilute them to limit the sodium intake, and mix them for my own liking. This morning I used the Mexican tortilla to cool my grits in(2nd week diet). They taste like cheese grits. I hope this helps all that are tired of t g e beef and chicken broth.

    hiatal Hernia

Don't dare get discouraged. I'm in the pre op room waiting to be sleeved this morning. I had my Egd last week and a hiatial hernia was found. My surgeon said it would be a breeze to repair this morning while I'm in surgery. So I'm getting that done at the same time. Smile again because there is a definite that it can be done. Be encouraged. God bless you on your journey.
