Chris Eagon I had been trying to go to him at one point in my life. But he had a waiting list 5 yrs long. Then when it was finally my turn I paid cash for all dr visits then my ins. Denied my surgery. That was 10 yrs ago but I heard nothing but good things about him. Goodluck on your new life.

Ready to be sleeved Feb 26/16

Took me a long time to build up the courage too but I got tired of watching everyone else around me shedding the pounds and getting healthy. So congrats to you on your new life it will be all worth it.
  5. Interesting where do I get this broth from?I bought it at a local grocery store in Olympia WA. Just checked online and it is EXPENSIVE to buy on Millie's website. Amazon was even worse!. It is made in Bellevue WA so it is likely that is the reason it was easy for me to find. I think you could make your own though. I tasted like a beef broth with some spices in it. But it was not spicy hot. Maybe even just at taco seasoning to beef broth for the flavor. I have some beef broth and might try that! k....thks.
  6. I looked it up. Sounds good. Sounds better than sipping regular chicken broth all day. Let me know what you think I want to order some.It is good! It will be a great change up from chicken broth. Oh, not really spicy though.Interesting where do I get this broth from?

Thank you. ???? But is it a closed group or a secret group? If it's closed, people that aren't in the group can still see that you're a member. They can't if it's secret. I don't want anyone on my friends list to be able to see if I'm a member, even if they can't read my posts.well this is very disappointing I joined this group yesterday not knowing my fb friends could see that I'm apart of a sleeve group OMG people I know are so judgmental I really didn't want anyone to know this info about me outside of my family. I just opted out of the group. I'm looking for a secret group.I think I'm going to create another Facebook profile for myself and join under that account. My problem is the opposite of yours. I'm trying to keep my surgery private from my family. Maybe that's something you could try, too...another FB account.Thks that's what I will do create another account.

Hi there's a fb page for January sleevers if your interested it's called January 2016 sleevers its pretty awesome and congrats to a new you my date is jan 19th welcome aboard.
  10. I am having surgery on the 19th of January. I am also excited and nervous. Right now, I am on a pre-op of liquids with one meal. Would be better if I had NO meal!!! I am struggling a bit with the weight loss, hence the need for surgery! My best to you for a good recovery and success in 2016.Hi Leal we share the same surgery date. You are on your pre op diet already my dr recommended 1wk for me but the way my liver hurts I started today. Also with mines I cant have any meals gonna be tuff but I know I can do it. Goodluck!
  11. I had my operation Monday afternoon in Plano; had a tough time coming out of anesthesia in recovery but eventually came out and went to my room;Dr. Frenzel said that I "had made hem work pretty hard' as my liver was very large and fatty- and that he should have made me lose 50 lbs pre-op instead of 25, but everything was successful. I was released Tuesday afternoon, 24 hour after surgery, rested up on Wednesday and drove home yesterday (we live 6 hours away from Dallas)So far everything is OK, drinking broth and Isopure Protein drinks with no problems. The night of the surgery was a little rough, I had some nausea and just felt like I got run over by a truck but by the next day I felt much better. Today I feel great, a little discomfort around the incision sites but nothing too bad. But anywho I was reluctant to have my surgery because I've known I had a fatty liver for 6 yrs now and it has always hurt me for yrs cause of my weight. But hearing your story just made me realize I need to move forward with my surgery I'm just going to do a two week liquid diet instead of one week. So thank you for sharing this means a lot to me
  12. I wanted to direct this to the person from Plano Tx. I couldn't figure out how to post exactly to you because I don't see your name. But anywho I was reluctant to have my surgery because I've known I had a fatty liver for 6 yrs now and it has always hurt me for yrs cause of my weight. But hearing your story just made me realize I need to move forward with my surgery I'm just going to do a two week liquid diet instead of one week. So thank you for sharing this means a lot to me.

    Complications

During my stress test while on treadmill I was told they couldn't get a good reading because during exercise My heart has an extra beat. Therefore they had to do the stress test with the dye. Well they put that dye in my IV to speed up my heart I thought I was dying then they put some other med in to slow it down. But I was still cleared for surgery which is scheduled for Jan. 19th.
  16. Thats a huge worry for me I read so many post and getting the water down the first few days is hard for a lot of people. Glad to hear from you. I will be on the other side of this journey with you in a few weeks. Congrats to a speedy recovery ????

I know the protein fast is hard but just look at all the weight you will lose before your surgery that's less you will have to worry about after surgery. Make sure you let me know how your feeling coming out of surgery. This is the first I have ever heard of this Bariatric center I thought I called them all when I was searching. Good luck to a new u.

    Approved by Aetna

Thank you ladies so much I look at this as my New Years resolution and yes getting approved is the best Christmas gift. I was worried after reading others post about being denied for gaining weight because I had gained 10lbs but for my last nut visit my Dr. Office said I may not be a good candidate for surgery because I gained weight I hurry up and lost the weight the they decided to go on ahead with me.
  24. Look on the bright-side u only have to do 7 days others have longer liquid diets I have 7 days too????.
