First visit with the PCP today, a month out from surgery. Off BS meds immediately after surgery and she is reducing my HBP meds. Did bloodwork to check cholesterol...will see when results come in. Feeling great!

Can it be I need another fill after 1 week. I feel I can eat too much

Give it some time. You don't want to get it too tight because it will cause you to get food stuck. Give it a couple weeks and see how you do. I found it helpful to eat very slow and stop when I started to feel full. It Is easy to get in the habit of eating more than we should and what is actually happening is the esophagus is dilating. I went through all of this for 11 years. Finally got tired of stuck food and vomiting. Converted to a sleeve May 28th. It may be helpful to weigh your food for a while.

Getting totally into the routine of eating correctly. Do I miss some foods? Sure. Am I going to eat them? NOOOOOO! lol

I am still finding it hard to believe that I actually gave up my diet pepsi and all caffeine. That was the greatest step for me. But I guess as far as food the hard thing to give up for me is bread but I know I can never have it again and will trade that any day for a small pair of pants....lol The big job for me now is to learn how to cook differently. Pintrest is my friend these days.

my fav food tasted like blah. when I went on a food binge carrot cake and snowballs were my choice of feel better meds so since I am almost to the surgery I thought I would have a little party for myself I discovered I went to the rasberries first then went to the goodie shelf. long story short only the milk tasted good the rest had no flavor. so next time I will stick to my berries. I wonder if I would have felt I had to do this to myself because my dieticion is against wls. she said I am becoming to restrictive in my choice of food. I am not on a diet I AM ON A LIVEIT thanks for lendining an ear

I am now 10 days post op. Today has been a difficult day. I've been very tired, low energy. Not looking forward to going back to work on Monday but must do it. I have a sedentary job so don't have to exert physical energy, just a lot of mental energy. I value the encouragement I read as people further out from me talk about improvements in these feelings and hang on to that hope.

A great day at the Renaissance Festival. Walked over 11,000 steps, shared turkey leg with my hubby and drank lots of water. I got this!!

I am three days post op and don't have the energy to walk around. Has anyone else had this problem. I am getting some protein in and the liquids are a slow go.
-
Trying to get in all my fluids is a full time job.
-
I have to agree. I am two days post op and don't feel I am getting enough fluids. I had severe nausea at the hospital and it is still hanging with me a good bit. The Zofran does not help. I did find it easier to eat a popsicle than to drink water. But I am still sipping on the water any way. I hope it gets easier as the days go by.
