I had the Lapband surgery done on February 23, 2005.  It took me a year and a half but I lost 90 pounds.  But it was difficult to keep losing the weight or maintaining the weight when I had trouble with the band.  Finding the right saline amount and/or throwing up all the time made that very difficult.  I was a self pay so removing the band was not as financially feasible as talking about it.  So here we are 10 years later and I am ready to remove the band and revise to the sleeve.
