I'm doing well, getting in 60-80 grams of protein daily & about 800 calories. I'm pretty much eating 4 small meals a day. Also, I got released to go back to the gym and to lift as of last week, so I've been to the gym daily. Feels great! I've had a bit of a stall, stayed at the same weight for a week, and the two weeks before that I had only lost a pound. That being said, I'm just trying to exercise and eat right, drink my water and get my protein. I'm feeling good though. How about you?

Whoops, I messed that up. Lol. Anyhow, I pretty much always have a protein shake in the morning every day. Otherwise I have a hard time hitting my goal. I aim for 80 grams!

Hi Shannon, Mine is going great. I've been able to eat most things easily, I'm just very careful and chew really well. My energy is coming back. My weightloss is good, it could be better though... I need to really start hitting the gym now that I'm a month out. All in all I'm happy with the process. I do get sick of becoming hungry two hours after I've eaten, but I'm learning that's just the way it is. How are you doing? Natalie

I'm totally with you. I eat & I'm definitely not hungry anymore when I finish, but then I'm totally feeling starving again within the hour. I take a Prevacid for the stomach acid, so I wouldn't imagine that acid is my problem. Also, the second I get that growling hungry feeling, I drink water first to try and satiate but it doesn't work. I'm with you. And it's not head hunger, I don't even want to eat.

I also use "Smooth Move Tea". Best stuff on the planet. Just make yourself a cup of tea at night you'll be good to go in the AM. Love the stuff!

I'm so glad you are feeling well. I struggle to get my liquids in as well, so I started doing some iced teas etc. adding hot teas is a great idea as well. I'm going to have to try the pintos and cheese, sounds so good. It just feels good to eat real food right? Have a great day!

How are you feeling? I'm actually feeling great. I've been eating soft foods with ease, still losing weight although I had a 4 day stahl, which was discouraging, but we got past that. Thank you for asking!

Hi everyone, I know I'm new to the board and a little late on the uptake, but I also was sleeved June 8th. How's everyone feeling? What are you eating at this point? I'm doing good, I just don't really have any energy! I think that is in part due to the extremely low caloric intake. Hoping to regain some energy soon though. Natalie

Am I eating not eating enough?!
natalie080 replied to MarceMonster's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
As a health coach, I would say yes. Your body could be putting itself in starvation mode with calories that low. In my opinion, calories should fall between 600 & 800. I was sleeved on 6/8 and have been getting close to 800 because I want it to effect my metabolism as little as possible. Are you getting any exercise? You want to try to keep any muscle mass that you have, that will also help your calorie burn. Feel free to ask any questions. Good luck, sweetie! Natalie -
Day 6 after sleeve - am I OK?
natalie080 replied to punklandia's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm a week out tomorrow. I went to the store today and was absolutely exhausted after. My dr says its normal to be super tired. I also think it's cause we are running on so few calories. I've had other surgeries before and even a week out, you still get tired just from the anesthesia and surgery alone. And yes, I feel hungry! But just trying to continuously eat (or drink really). Mostly things full of protein. Good luck! -
Tiarowley When are you getting sleeves? Yes! Let's keep in touch!

I also am a low BMI of 29 on my surgery date of 6/8/15. I paid out of pocket for my gastric sleeve. I have PCOS and had a lap band 6 years ago, I had it removed in October of last year, I gained 40 pounds in 8 months, all while exercising and eating well. I then decided to have the sleeve. I can't let me kids see this struggle with food, or me and my knees hurting. I want to be healthy for my kids & husband. I am 34 and have 4 girls, I don't want them to hear me constantly struggle and be mad my clothes don't fit. It's not good for their psyche. Anyhow, surgery was a breeze, I'm still at home and taking it easy, but I've already lost 10 pounds in less than a week. I'll take it! I was 174.5 on surgery day, I'm 164.2 today, with a goal of 130. It's so worth it not to struggle with food! Good luck everyone!
