  1. I feel like a freak of nature. My surgery was 4 days ago, and by day 3 I could already consume over 64 oz. of fluids.
  2. Did anyone else get full body aches after their surgery? I was sleeved 4 days ago and didn't start really feeling them until the day before yesterday. It's like I did 1,000 shoulder presses and followed it up with 1,000 dumbbell curls. It hurts to lift my arms even shoulder level. I asked one of the nurses about it, and she said that it's a side effect from certain types of general anesthesia. I was wondering if anyone else experienced this, and if so, how long it took for the pain to go away?
  3. I'll be having my surgery in a little over 3 hours. I'm nervous and excited, but mostly scared of the pain following the surgery(evil gas pain). Hopefully, I'll have the luck of some of you who came out of the operation with minimal pain. I'm not counting on it though. I know two people who have been sleeved by the same surgeon, and they said the surgery was rough for them when they came out of it. Cross your fingers for me, please. I'll be in the hospital for two nights, so I won't be able to report back until Thursday.
  4. Thanks. I just really needed to know that there's a light at the end of the tunnel with this pain.

    It's surgery day!

Thanks everyone. The surgery went well, and the pain at the incisions is fairly minimal, though I'm still taking my pain meds to try to stay on top of it. The one thing they haven't been helping is these horrible full body aches I'm getting, especially in my arms. It feels like I did about 1,000 bicep curls and shoulder presses. I absolutely can't wait for this pain to go away, Hopefully it will within the week.
  6. I waited two full years before I decided to have the surgery. I told myself that if I couldn't take the weight off by myself in that time, I'd get sleeved. Well, it didn't happen. There were other determining factors, since I obviously dragged my feet. One, I saw a picture of myself with my aunt and cousin, and my friggin arm took up most of the picture. The other was that both my aunt and cousin had the sleeve done, and every time I see them they seem to get smaller and smaller. My aunt has been trying to talk me into getting the surgery for a while. She was a lightweight too at under 200lbs.
  7. There are so many of us getting sleeved in May. It's amazing. I'm also having my sleeve done on Tuesday, May 12th. Exciting stuff.
