Im 15 days post and lost 10 pounds.Make sure you follow your doctors orders.Make sure you are not consumering no surgars.I'm proud if 10 pounds.Use to I lose 10 gain 15.At least it's staying off.I started my soft purees early with my doctor approval of course. I'm 11 days post.I know exactly what you are talking about.I've always been outgoing,calm,and happy person.But now I'm so edgy,get mad at the little simple things that use to not bother me,raging hormones.One min I'm laughing the next mad as hell or crying.Its got to be our hormones raging.I've been married 25 yrs and hubby upset with me over my emotions .I told him it's my hormones but he threaten to leave.By my surprise I told him"There's the door"Now I'm wondering where that came from.I realize it's all the years of being silent.He use to say things hurt my feeling ,I sucked it up.Didn't say nothing.Guess I was scared he would leave.But now my attitude is like "Go if you want,im tired of your Shit"Its like I finally woke up smelled the coffee.I'm not saying I'm getting a divorce.I just realized it's time for me to take care of myself.I've always catered to his needs .I lost myself somewhere in those 25 yrs.Now I'm tending to me and he don't like it.I say TOUGH.What I'm trying to say is take care of yourself and the rest will follow.

I'm 13 days out.I'm on soft puree foods.I don't drink with my meals only 30 mins after.My question is why can't we drink with our food intake?I forgot to ask my doctor.Also anyone experiencing raging hormones? I hve pc is not sure if this is the reason.I'm 46 f ga starting weight 196 at 5'1.I've been experiencing pre menopause since age of 32.Hotflashes started at 32 that's how I knew.Wondering if it's menopause pcos or from the sleeve.Maybe it's all 3.I just know I hve been so snappy with hubby.More than usual.Married 25 yrs.Just so emotional,irritable,depressed at times.Is this normal?Any suggestions or comments welcome

Anyone experiencing raging hormones after gastic sleeve surgury?

I have a quick question.I'm 12 days out my hormones are raging.I take 200 mgs of Zoloft a day.I also have pcos which don't help.I feel like my zoloft not working.I talked to my surgeon but he said that the sleeve has nothing to do with my,emotions I've been married 25 years and hubby so upset at me when i get snappy.I try to explain to him about my hormones he don't understand.I cry for no reason.My hubby always been a ass guess that's why,im on 200 mgs zoloft. Any suggestion be apprecated

Ad5707 I'm 10 days out and doing great.I was sore first 3 days but 5 th day soreness went away.I went thru surgury like a champ but i,do hve a high pain tolerance.Everyone different honey .Hang in there it get better.

Yes I'm meeting with Dr Hart today.I live in Franklin ga about 3 hr trip.I hoping they will help me fight my ins company. Cigna want a peer to peer review. My other doctor fererson coordinater really messed me up submitting the wrong information. Got denied twice for low bmi but that was when I was on adipex now off it gain it all back plus five. 5'2 192 high bp,high chol,diabetes, and pcos. Good luck to everyone

Hello everyone, my bmi is 35 5'2 191.I'm 45 hve high bp,high cholesterol, diabetes, pcos,and sleep apnea also.Cigna turned me down twice so now I'm doing a peer to peer got a new surgeon cause one I had really dropped the ball.I also only told couple of people cause of judgement. Like everyone said its my health issues not there's. I've been married 25 yes hubby not very supportive but I'm going to do it anyway"My body,my money,my decision " thinking ,once I get it done ,he will come around.Only problem is he loves to cook loves to eat and yes ,he's, overweight.He needs to understand I'm doing this for my health and when I fit into size 8 or smaller its a plus.Hoping ,once he sees me healthier, he will decide to do it for hisself and his health. I also hve appointment with Dr Hart July 20.I was going to use Dr Ferguson but having problems with ins and brigette his so-called coordinater really messed up my chance with my ins.She submitted my bmi at 34.Not sure why she done that said she was precertifieng me see if my ins covered it.I've been dieting lose 20 pounds was on adipex now I'm off it I gained it back with extra 5 pounds.Now my bmi is 36 so I'm trying a different surgeon going hve to do a peer to peer now cause doctors office exhausted my appeals.Hoping Dr Hart can help even though it's 3 hr trip.If the peer to peer don't wrk guess I'll selfpay.I'm 5'1 190 bmi is 36 and hve hb pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, pcos so I hve alot of health problems. My main concern is my health but to lose 60 or 70 pounds to size 8 or smaller would be a plus. Good luck everyone one

I'm in the same boat.Been married 25 yes and over weight 20 of them.I'm so determine to do this with or without his support. I have a lot of health issues ,so I'm putting myself first.He want discuss nothing about wls but that's OK.Your husband will come to terms if not like you said "Your life ,your body".I'm waiting on insurance approval ,if I don't get approved I'm going to mexico with or without him.So keep your head high we are all here for you.

I'm 45 got diagnosed at 22 yrs old.Back then pcos was very new.Doctors had no clue how to treat.Been married 25 yes no kids.I've tryed clomid for 6 months in my 20s ,no success.I also very upset cause all my friends was having them with no trouble. I learned to accept the fact of being childless.Even on clomid I never ovaluted. Now I'm 45 going thru process of vsg.Haven't thought about getting pregnant in yes and I don't want kids this late in life(which probably wouldn't happen) but just in case I'll get something to prevent it.If they had wls surgery back in those days I would have probably had no trouble getting pregnant. But it was gods will so I accepted it.What I'm trying to say kids is wonderful but if u don't have any its not the end of the world lol.I'm very happily married with no kids.Wish you all the best luck.

Tnk are you self paying?If you really want this there should be no doubts.If you have doubts ,you need to wait till you are really sure.Me I'm extremely excited,I know this is what I want I'm prepared mentally and planning my every step before and after surgery. I have a bmi of 34.9 now but the last 5 yes it was 37.I recently tried adipex lost a few pounds put me under 35.The adipex quit working now I'm gaining weight.When decided to get the sleeve now my bmi is too low.Will Cigna still cover my surgery? I know they cover weight loss.Was denied when my doctors nurse submitted without all my information. She told me she was precerfifing make sure it covered it but Cigna said they denied me IM CONFUSED.Someone please give me some advice.I told u my bmi low also I have high bp,diabetes,pcos,high chol,high tricycles, and artirisits.

I had the same problem. where do u live?I emailed my congressman explained the situation and I got my records the next day.He had his people call and threated them.Its your records,they hve no right.Its worth a shot.

My bmi is 35 now was 33 lost using adipex when I quit using them weight came back.I'm fighting my insurance cause my coordinator turned my paperwork to early.My insurance denied me cause of bmi 33 ,lack of information. Now my bmi 36 I'm pissed.But I'm going to appeal.I have high Bp,high cholesterol,high tricy,pcos,depression,anixy,arthritis and I can't forget diabetes. You name it i have it.People also tell me"You don't need surgery ,your not that big"I got tired of hearing that.I'm proud I have someone to talk too:)I think they call us LIGHTWEIGHTS. LOL
