bringingsexyback1 replied to amacox's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Please do your measurements ppl! The scale is not the only thing to pay attention to. You will be shocked and really be able to see your progress when you see how many inches you have lost! -

bringingsexyback1 replied to amacox's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on may 6th- down 32 lbs and many inches since surgery. I'm taking in around 800 calories daily . Been losing 4-4.5 lbs weekly consistently since surgery. -

Sleeved 05/06- down 32 lbs since surgery.. And many inches. -
All those fluids will turn into soft stool, it's very important to go after that long. I could not go for 5 days. An enema may be helpful, or a finger. You gotta do what you gotta do. Not trying to be gross.

Unacceptable for them not to return calls. I find that to be completely unprofessional and I would definitely be speaking to the administrator. I have been in the healthcare profession for years and there's never any excuse for it. I understand people are busy and possibly having to call the next business day or perhaps the one after, but weeks and weeks without a call back... that is a major red flag to me. good luck with journey.

Anyone in oregon that got wls covered by united Heath care? Oregon , thus far is not one of the states that is now mandated to cover but I have heard with appeals and red tape, it is a possibility if it's medically necessary. Would love to hear anyone who has personal experience with uhc.

Who's feeling/ felt starved during the liquids stage?
bringingsexyback1 posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am 5 days post op and feel so starved! It's very difficult. I hear some ppl never feel hunger at all post surgery. Is it normal to feel such extreme hunger this early in the game?I am sure I am not feeling " mental hunger" I have hunger pangs all day long. -

time to get back on track
bringingsexyback1 replied to devillynn's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You got this. Keep your head in the game, because it's such a mental thing. You recognize you need to start doing better, you own it. That's the first step. You will be fine with your refocus. -

In addition , unless you make it other ppl's business or ask for advice., the only thing ppl should be saying to you is " you look great, keep up whatever you're doing" or something to that effect. -

I feel your pain. I'm only 6 days post op and told NOBODY except my sister because I don't want to deal with ppl's ignorance, questions, and unsolicited comments. This is your personal journey and yours only. It is simply nobody else's business or place to make such comments. I have had many many comments / questions posed to me about my weight prior to surgery. I simply answered with " my weight is not something you should not concern yourself with". That puts ppl I'm a uncomfortable position and they will not comment again. The questions and comments that have been posed to me have been absurd, insensitive, nervy, and ignorant to say the least. Took all I had to deliver my message with eloquence and not hostility and not want to slap the dumb bitches and assholes! -
1 week post-op...
bringingsexyback1 replied to CharmedRyan's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I had Gastric sleeve done on 05/06. The first day was miserable.. Even the smallest of sips hurt. By day three that was much improved, as I was able to eat a 5 oz yogurt and drink 5 oz at a time. No pain meds needed after day three either. The hardest thing by far is the liquid diet. I feel starved. It's taking great mental strength to follow but I am doing it. I didn't think I would feel this hungry with such a small stomach. It's pure hell, but this too shall pass.
