Hi there. I am a band to sleeve revision. I got the band placed on Feb 2011 but it was a bad experience there on out for me. The nurses had difficulty every time I went in for a fill which was a total of 5 times up until Feb of 2015. I was told by the last nurse that the port was lopsided and may have been the reason the others could not get the needle in the first time. In my first two refill sessions both nurses broke the needles in my port. The last two where handled better but I soon then experienced severe reflux and regurgitated my foods. I was approved for a revision due to my band slipping. I am a self confessed food addict so I hope this new tool helps me to decrease my emotional and stress eating. My doctor required me to seek therapy around my food addiction and conveyed how I have to figure out why I love to eat or I will not be successful with any bariatric surgery in the long haul. I have seen my therapist twice and she has offered some ideas and suggestions. Wish me hope and faith in my journey, thanks for reading.
