Hello I had my sleeve done on May 4th, 2015. From the time I awoke in the hospital I have felt sick. They sent me home on Tuesday with only pain meds, a breathing thing (to aspirate my lungs-so no clots) and instructions on to 'SIP' my drinks. Well three days in and I was gagging a lot, throwing up and have had constant diarehha. I recently discovered something else I didn't have before Surgery...a hemroid! And I wasn't pushing anything out. Anyways I finally called the Dr's office and the nurse on duty said, "have you been taking your anti spasm and anti nausea meds? I said, "I wasn't sent home with any scripts but the one for pain" She was surprised and called me in these two life savers!! I feel a bit better but I need HELP. Here is what I am experiencing and if you can help me God Bless you. I can't stand the smell of food, on my husband or daughter...it makes me feel nauseous. I can't get down any protein and was really proud of myself for eating 3 popsicles yesterday and not throwing up! I tried my protein and promplty threw it up...so a bit off of it right now I have no energy...I am depressed ... when does the hell end? I have explosive diarehha that I cannot control all the time I wake a 3 am and can't fall back to sleep unless I drug myself..Insomnia. Please help me? Thanks Lisa

Thanks so very much Mremilio...you rock! I am 7 weeks out and feeling so much better. I've been getting in all my Protein now and eating real food...love Turkey, ground and patties...LOL. I still have a bit of dry mouth and don't pee that much but I am hydrating the best I can. Just want to thank you for sharing and being there for a sister in need....Blessings your way!!! Thank all of you for your time and concern...didn't notice all the other messages...sorry for that.

Hi, I was Sleeved on May 4th. I have lost 51 pounds so far, it is June 16th. My energy is picking up a lot now that I have been gettting in my Protein and eating real food. Turkey is my friend!!! I was a bit sad and depressed during the liquid and pureed food stage but now I am better mentally. I have been having trouble with gas and havng bowel movements. My doctor suggested I take a Dulcolax every night so I don't get constipated by the Protein I am taking in. This has helped a lot. I still feel sad sometimes and miss some of the foods I use to enjoy but hey...no food can replace the feeling of excitement knowing I hit my first goal of 50 pounds. I have 4 50 pound goals I want to hit...1 done...3 to go. Good Luck and blessings everyone!

My first week was HELL WEEK. I am in my third week right now, but everyone is different. You may want to postpone your operation until after his graduation. If you don't make sure they give you meds for the stomach spasms and nausea as well as your pain meds. Good Luck!
