    Diet post op

Thanks, I think revisiting why I did it in the first place may be key!!
  2. Hello all!! I'm just looking for advice and tips, I am 4 months out and have lost about 53 pounds. I am very happy with everything but myself. I am so disappointed in myself because I often find myself eating the wrong things necessary for weight loss. I have done well to avoid anything that may harm my pouch but not so great with foods to avoid for weight loss. My vices are tea and ice cream. Even though there are many I can't tolerate, there are plenty I can. I just don't want to have done this for no reason and end up right back where I was. What have you guys done to ensure your success. How do you maintain a healthy diet? Thanks!!

    Haven't told anyone...

I agree that it's a personal choice and it is no ones business. I chose to be open about it. I have been so blessed that everyone has been so supportive, I know that not everyone is that lucky. This forum is such a great resource, best of luck to you!
  4. Hey, also an RN sleeved 4/22/15. I went back 2.5 weeks later and did fine. I had been doing superb until last week when I bent over to put my shoes and felt a pop in my belly. The doc suspects I popped one of the stitches...no damage done as it was mostly healed but it hurt worse than I did right after. I ended up down for about 4-5 days with that. Take the time you can. I think I took for granted that my body was still healing and had been doing more than I was ready for. Good luck to you:)
  5. My daughter was 3 as well and I have a 12 yr old. The first night I didn't get into a room until 830-9, so that night we face timed. The second night they both came up to visit. It was my worst day as far as post op. I couldn't sleep and was moody. Seeing them reminded me why I went through everything. I'm glad they were there but it is a hospital and not much to do so they got bored quickly. I think a short visit is great:)

    Pain one month post op

Thanks so much for your reply. Once I went to the ER where they did the surgery that is exactly what I was told. I just never imagine it would be this painful! It gives me encouragement that it was only a couple days, I need to get back to work:)

    Pain one month post op

Thanks!! I was concerned because up until now I've been great. This hurting as bad as I did immediately post op. I appreciate the reply
  8. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I am 1 month post op, I haven't had pain for at least 3 weeks. I was bending over to put on my shoes and felt a pop in the right side of my abd followed by severe pain. I went to my local ER and was told it was a muscle strain. I still have the severe pain primarily with walking that radiates to my back. The pain is worse than i felt post op. I've been reassured that it's nothing on the inside but the pain is unreal. Have any of you experienced this?? If so, how long did the pain last?

Weight Loss Stall at 2 weeks Post-op

Completely normal, even normal to go up a little bit. Just stay confident in doing what you are supposed to and it will melt off! You got this! I know it is super hard to do, but try not to weigh everyday. It might avoid that disappointment feeling

    sleeve leakages

You are certainly not a chicken! It's a big surgery and there are risks. Great topic! I am two weeks out and still worry about potential complications. I have been very blessed and doing well to this point. My doc was the same it sounds as most. It was checked while in surgery and again the next morning with the upper GI. I had a drain as well for a week so any changes in output could be an alert to a leak. Good luck to you:)
