    Any August Sleevers?

Also I find that when I take my pain meds ( I have Hycet) consistently, it's very bearable. Hell I have 2 wks worth, plus it's liquids , so I may as well take it.

    Any August Sleevers?

No hernia surgery here. Yes that large incision is a lil feisty. It's actually not the incision, but below the incision almost parallel to my navel, which my nurse said is my actual stomach. Until the swelling completely goes down, it will be a lil achy. Acid reflux sux. I've never had it before so I swear I'm dying now. I took the Prilosec about an hour ago with a GULP of PP thinking I'd get it down fast because I hate pills- epic FAIL. Not only was the gulp a mistake, but the stupid pill got stuck! Imagine trying to burp up a pocket of air, gag yourself to throw the pill up, all while standing over the sink slobbering uncontrollable because you don't want to swallow anything, even saliva. Yup. That was me. Lasted about 7/8 minutes... God I hope this stage ends soon.

    Any August Sleevers?

I'm ok for the most part. My pain is on my right, which is where my largest incision is. I've developed horrible acid reflux over the past couple of days. Guess I should have been taking the Prilosec I was prescribed at the hospital, huh? My follow up is Friday, so I'll see how that goes. Oh, and I'm down 12 lbs, that 17 from my SW!

    Toddlers and new Sleeve

OMG! I am locked in the bathroom as I type! Hiding from my 2yo trying to bathe! I was sleeved 8/24, thankfully he doesn't like my protein drinks, but he will drink up all my little med cups that I fill with water on my nightstand! Plus he's big (40#) so I can't pick him up for quite sometime, thus my grandmother is here helping with him-but he hates her!! Lol I think he just doesn't like her when she has her dentures out ????. This is a fun house right now for sure...

Why is is easier after surgery?

Plus the consistent weight loss is a constant motivating factor. A lot of times we diet and exercise and step on the scale to see we've lost 2-3 lbs, if any all month! Seeing that you've dropped a decent amount is encouraging for us to continue making healthy choices.
  9. Mine said that too , and guess what: we forgot to submit my weight from 2014... Duh!!! Re submit with last years weight and viola!! Just make sure your doc submitted every single thing.

Why is is easier after surgery?

One, the lack of ghrelin or minute production of it helps curb the appetite. Many have to remind themselves to eat because they're not hungry. Secondly pain and vomiting is a deterrent for anyone! Lol you can't over eat or...

    Any August Sleevers?

My surgery was Monday the 24th. I came home Wednesday. I was doing good thru Friday, but I think I over did it Friday by moving around too much. Plus I went to my son's game Thursday. All day yesterday I was in pain. I know I've still got lots of gas too though.
  13. Oh how about " you can't eat that!" I just literally spazzed out on my husband because I asked him to pick up some pudding at the grocery store. I get so agitated when people who have not been sleeved , nor have met with any nutritionist, nor any doctors- try to tell me what I can eat or can't eat! I'm the one who just had 85% of my stomach removed! Do you honestly think I'm going to eat any-damn-thing that is going to hurt me or impede my success??? Just shut up already! * I think this was more of a vent than anything.*

    Any August Sleevers?

I'm having to force myself to drink broth. I don't have a desire for anything- even water. Im back to using my medicine cups to ensure I stay hydrated. Sheesh...
  15. Great! I haven't tried that one before. Lmk how that works out.
  16. Just got told that!! Exact words : you're not fat enough for Bariatric surgery! Well apparently my dr thinks so! ????
  17. Whats fruit Water? Here you go! http://www.loseweightbyeating.com/infused-water/
  18. Just fresh fruit infused water. I used peaches, raspberries, mangoes, and a few cut up grapes. Added about 32 oz of water and let it sit in the fridge a few hours. It gives your water a slightly fruity taste. There are many who add mint too. I'll try to find some recipes for you. A lot of ppl use it as a detox too.
  19. 'you should just try to eat less and exercise more. Anything else doesn't work' Or ' I don't believe you did that! That's so extreme! You're going to regret it!'
  20. Add me plz! Asia Williams-Jones Texas . There can't possibly be more than one????
  21. Hey I was sleeved that day too. Protein drinks, isopure, broth, sf Popsicles, home made fruit waters, fruit and veggie smoothies (made at home) are all things I've been doing. My ninja is earning every bit of the $200+ I spent on it!

    Big Heads

Lol my doc said he's only seen the bobble in extreme situations which are few and far between, so let's keep our fingers crossed!

    Newly Sleeved

I'd say plenty of water to get things moving. Maybe a lil 100% prune juice. You don't want to take anything more than that and it have you straining and your stomach having spasms trying to push. Could get quite painful.
  24. Mine said standard is 14 days. I got a response in 10.
