Reflux is when you eat food and back up the acid off the food. I had reflux and had to have my gallbladder removed in 2000 before i was banded. I would eat and soon as i laid down i would belch and have this awful burning in my throat. it is similar to heartburn.

Dont give up, I cant wait till you come back to work so we can support each other. We need you back at work Monday so take you a nap or take the baby for a walk.

I was approved in 9 days with UHC. A friend of mines was waiting for over 2 months with UHC. Hope you dont have to wait very long.

I had my first fill yesterday and the dr told me 2 days of liquids and 2 days of mushie. All i had yesterday was water and protein shakes. It is now 2:08 cst in Texas and all I have had was a 8oz shake. I am soooooooo hungry. I can not wait till tomorow just to eat an egg. I am subject to get up at 5am just to eat. lol

i had my first fill today and they gave me 1.5cc. I have not had any problems thus far. I have lost 27 pounds in 10 weeks and I hoping the fill will get me going.

I had my first one today as well, It was a breeze. No pain, I was in at 1:00 and out at 1:26. I got a 1.5cc for my first fill. I came back to work and had a protein shake and some water. My doctor orders are 2 days liquid, 2 mushy and back to solids. Whew hew!!!!!!!!!!!!! We did it.

I use Whey it has 20 g of protein per serving. Bought it from Walmart 2 pounds, I think it is. $9

I was banded on 9/8/05, I had no preop diet. I have lost 26 pounds since the day of surgery and I have my first fill in the 2nd week of November 05.

A friend of mine had her saline removed.

Has anyone had a fill by Cribbens or Hamn in Plano. I was wondering how often you got a fill and how much they gave you. I get my first fill in Nov in it will be .5cc

I have lost 23 pounds in 7 weeks. I am a size 18 looking to be a size 10 or 12. I have not had a fill yet but will the 2week of November and I am hoping the pounds will come off some more. Good Luck and keep us posted

I had my surgery in Texas the first week of June with out any complications just a little sore for about 3 days. I have lost 23 pounds in 7 weeks. I have not recieved my first fill yet. I am still a newbie and I pray to God that I succeed without any complications. The first day that I got out the hospital I walked a quarter of a mile. I walked everyday up until I could do 2 miles and that is what I currently do. I eat breakfast, snack, lunch, snack dinner and a protein shake. I buy protein shampoo along with my other brands. I stop myself from eating because I do not want to mess up and have to have surgery again. I usually cut everything I eat in half. I take chewable vitamins, iron, birth control and zinc pills everyday. If I have a headache I usually cut my med in half and take it that way since they are kind of big.

My first fill is in the 2week of November and my doctor said only .5cc

I had my surgery on Sept 8 and I am very proud to say that I have lost 23 pounds. It has been six weeks and the dr told me after 6 weeks I could excercise strenously. I wanted to join curves and I also wanted to do body wraps. Have any of you done the body wraps. Or is a waste of money$$$$$

I must confess, I was banded 9/8 and I have chewed and spit 2 times. I had a small pc of fajita meat and I chewed it and spit it out. Thursday when I left the dr for my 2 week check up I stopped at McDonalds and got me a 99 cent burger chewed 1/2 of it and spit it out. It was sooooooo good to just taste it. I am new to bandland as well. I did liquids for 2 weeks after the surgery and have to do another 2 weeks of liquids. My doctor will not do a fill for 10 weeks from my surgery date. I am soooooo sick of liquids but my 2 weeks did go by fast and I am hoping the next 2 weeks are even faster. I am ready for some pureed foods. Good luck on your weight lost journey.
