  1. Depending on designer I wear a size 2-4 pants and small top. My goal was a size 6 but I am happy with where I am now.

    Fitbit ?

I have the charge HR as well. I love challenging friends and family each week to see who has the most steps, it keeps me motivated! I can't tell you how many times I've taken laps around my house just to get those last few hundred steps to 10,000 lol!
  3. I take Bariatric Support Chewable Multi by Twinlab. They actually aren't that bad! I've tried other brands but this one is my favorite.

    Vitamin question

I take Celebrate Calcium Citrate with D3 chews (not gummies) and they are very good. They come in chocolate, caramel and fruit flavor but I have only had the chocolate. I get them at a local hospital pharmacy and they are $14 for a 1 month supply (3 chews per day). I have seen them on Amazon but they are much more expensive there...

    Running after surgery

My surgeon told me to wait 3 months before running again, which I am happy to say today is my 3 month post-op anniversary! I could walk, bike ride and do low impact exercise which I have been doing but I have missed running and am already signed up for 2 upcoming races!

    Baby food pureed vegatables

My sister and I had the surgery a few weeks a part. She didn't mind the baby food but I couldn't stand it. She ate the stage 2 chicken and veggies, I couldn't even eat the fruit, lol! I wish I could have developed a taste for it because she felt great when she started eating it, where as I wasn't getting enough calories and didn't get my energy back as quickly.
  7. Yes, thank goodness! I went from a 40DDD at my largest to a 34DD now. Would love to be a C cup but I doubt that will happen. Now I just need a lift...

5-Day Pouch Test - Colorado Bariatric Surgery Institute You can read all about it here! I haven't tried it, but many have had great results using this method to get back on track! Edited because I copied the wrong link

    What do you tell people?

I tell people diet and exercise... I have been a member of Weight Watchers for so long that everyone knows I'm doing it. I've kept up my membership since surgery and continue to go to meetings because they are awesome and I hope it will help me in the long run. When we eat out or in front of people, my husband picks off of my plate to make it look like I eat more than I do. I know its all very misleading, but I am a very private person and no one knows other than my husband and parents. We also share meals in restaurants and instead of getting my own plate, I usually pick off of his. He is thin and can eat a lot so it hasn't been obvious so far. I haven't gone out with the girls yet (without hubby) because they will most definitely notice how little I eat in comparison to the way I used to eat. I doubt I will ever get to a point where I'll tell people so this is my new normal! Good luck!
  10. I had my surgery on May 5th and I still get occasional nausea when eating. Certain foods make me incredibly nauseated, and if I eat too fast or too much I will definitely get sick.

How Do You Get Over the Guilt?

I didn't tell anyone but immediate family that I was having WLS. I feel guilty when asked how I'm losing weight... Luckily I'm a slow loser and everyone knows I've been doing Weight Watchers for years so I tell them that and exercise. I feel bad though because its not entirely true! I will never feel guilty for having surgery though, it has been the best decision I've ever made!
  12. Thats funny! Those things are so hard to get on, my husband always has to pull the back up for me!
  13. I was one that had a rougher time because of nausea after surgery. I still get very nauseated if I eat too fast or too much in one sitting and I am 3 months out. It took me about a month to feel like my old self and get back to my normal activities.
  14. You should be proud, you are so tiny!! Spanx is my new best friend, lol!

    TPN

I have a family member that had to take TPN a few months ago after surgery. It made her really nauseated and gave her severe diarrhea BUT it kept her hydrated and she got all of the nutrition that she needed after her horrible surgery! Definitely would not be her first choice to take it again but it saved her life!

    Restriction post op!

Yep! Just what everyone else said, when you start eating "real" food you will be amazed at how little you can eat! I think we all worry about that during the liquid stage because we can drink more than we expect. I can literally only eat 3-4 bites of dense protein at a time.

    Help! Just had surgery...

The first few days are tough, but it will get better! Everyone experiences different levels of pain and nausea, but thankfully they can be controlled by meds. If you are still in pain after taking your meds, call your doctor and see if he will give you something stronger. They had a hard time getting my nausea under control and all of the dry heaving caused pain in my abdomen so I can sympathize! But once again... It will get better!

    Caffeine

My doctor doesn't want me drinking regular coffee because I suffer from heartburn since having surgery. I do drink a cup of decaf every morning after taking Prilosec though. I'm hoping that the heartburn will get better and I can go back to my regular coffee, I miss it!

    Sleeve limitations

I am almost 3 months post-op and I try to eat healthy most of the time. My sleeve only likes a few bites of dense protein at a time, if I overeat, I will get sick. We were on vacation this past week with friends and each night we took turns either cooking or ordering out so I didn't have any control over a couple of the meals I ate. No one knows I have had surgery so my husband picks off of my plate to make it look like I eat more than I do. One night we had pizza which I used to love but haven't had since surgery. I took a few bites and practically had to run for the bathroom (it all came back up). Pizza is definitely something I can't eat and don't care to try again! I think that anything greasy will not agree with me which is fine because I don't need to be eating it anyway, lol!
  20. I use Fairlife skim milk, tastes better to me than water.

    Loss first month

22 lbs from day of surgery till the one month mark. I kept a daily record the first month, now I keep a weekly record of my weight.
  24. I use my highest weight. I lost some with Weight Watchers then started gaining again before I had surgery. I was that weight for several years so that is the one I use...
  25. HCG diet was definitely the worst! I lost nearly all of my hair before I stopped the injections!
