Starting to regret my decision...
jgulley replied to Herraven's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Don't regret your decision, I am 3 years out and am a totally changed person. I lost and have kept off over 120 pounds, look younger, feel younger, people can't believe the changes. it is worth it, it is rough at first getting used to everything, but if you look at it in the positive it will get easier. Just listen to your body, if it hurts to drink Water you need to talk to your doctor, you have to be patient with everything even water. take a few sips, not gulps, it is easier that way. when you start eating, only take super small bites, eat a few bites and sit back and see how you feel. Honestly, they say eat in 20 minutes, it takes me almost 20 minutes to start getting the food in - I listen to my body and it works, it is great and you will love your new life, just go with the changes, you will NEVER eat the same again, go slow! -

I really think this has to do with the fluid that is already placed on top of the swelling from surgery. I had my surgery 3 years ago in Nov, dropped 120 lbs and have maintained for over a year and still holding, this is definately worth it, but you need to talk to your doctor, ask him if he will remove some of the fluid, it shouldnt be this bad. I didnt have fluid in my band for 2 months, so my doctor gave my body time to heal. they don't want you to get sick, so communicate. -
You are not failing, I was banded on November 15, 2007 and I am loosing weight slow, but loosing - I have lost 50 lbs and have 50 more to go. I really started to loose once I got to my 3rd fill, just try to make the correct decisions until then because once you feel the restriction after your 2nd and 3rd fill, you will still be able to eat taco bell, just not as much. try to remember, you are not a failure if you don't loose as fast as others - this isn't a race to see who can get there first, just a journey to get to the goal in the end. I am on track to take a little over a year to loose 100 lbs and get to my goal. I am not concerned, I will get there and I am able to eat the foods (in moderation) that I enjoy so I know I will be succesful. hang in there, be patient.

Anyone with gas after surgery?
jgulley replied to tink128's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, I had paid in my left shoulder - keep walking, it seems to help with the pain and I have read on here that many people used Gas X (sp?) and it helped them. Keep your head up, this will pass - one day at a time!!
