Im 4 weeks out and having the same problem, couple of mouthfuls then withour warning nausea and then vomiting most of it back up. Is especially problematic when I try introducing something new. My dietician talked about feeling an air bubble at the top of you stomach, but I still haven't mastered it!

I found the carbs cravings left after about three days on the pre op, then after that I didn't feel hungry at all. It seems hard at the time but is definitely worth shrinking your liver. Meant that my surgery was only half an hour instead of the hour.

I'm very sorry to hear what you are going though, I am very glad to not have had to experience any leaking with mine. Good on you for reaching out and joining this group, I hope it gives you somewhere to work through your feelings. -
Just sleeved. I'm on purée as well, though a lot of things I just take the time to mindfully chew it. Still trying to figure out how much is enough.

NZ_gal replied to NZ_gal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Spoke with my surgeon today, he's upped my pantopropzol to 40mgs a day. Fingers crossed that this improves the issue! -
Congrats on your decision, had mine on the 5th, hope things are going well. Are you allowed foods yet? Im on pureed for another week

Hi, My names Sarah and I had my sleeve surgery on April 5th. It was a realy quick surgery, only half an hour! Seems sticking to my pre op diet paid off. Worst part to be honest, was the gas trapped under my rib cage. First few days were awful, would go for my walks around the ward and still feel awful but in the long run it could have been much worse. Was discharged after 2 nights and took the full two weeks from work to recover. Started on mushed foods this week with mixed results, having issues with heartburn and knowing when I'm full, couple of vomiting moments already. So far I've lost 15kg including my pre op diet drop, which I'm pleased about. Im pretty happy with my decision to go for surgery.

Been 3 weeks since my surgery and in the one week ive been experiencing what feels like excess stomach acid build up. Its frustrating because it feels like im full before I get a chance to eat anything. Its especially bad in the afternoons, first thing in the morning and as I take my pantoprazole. Sometimes a chewable antiacid helps. Anyone else experienced this/ have any suggestions?
