March 2015 sleeve have lost 30 pounds
tamelntre replied to eveangel22's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had my surgery 3/25 and I am down 32 pounds and I felt the same as you that the weight is coming off too slow and was comparing myself to others and was not enjoying every pound that I was losing. I would try water aerobics you would love it. I have lost inches big time and can fit in pants that I could NOT even get up my legs. So it will come off, I have had a few stalls where the scale have NOT moved at all but it will start to move again but for you water may work. -
Pro's & Con's of gastric sleeve surgery?
tamelntre replied to Wantingtobeslimmer's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I aslo has a revision from band to sleeve. I wish I could have had it done all at once but I had the band removed in January (slipped after pregnancy) so much scar tissue had to do two surgeries. I can say I loved my band, I lost 100 pounds from that band but once it slipped that was it for me. I was sleeved 3/25 and I am down 30lbs. NOW it seems to me I lost weight faster with the band but that may just be in my mind. I am only 9 weeks out and I still have a long way to go. I had my band since 2008 and it did me well. So far I like the sleeve, it's new so I have nothing bad to say about it YET. -
Surgery Buddies, who was sleeved 3/25/15 or that week
tamelntre posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I want to see who else had surgery on the same day so we can keep and touch and see how each other is doing. So far I guess I am doing okay, I have lost 18 pounds my first month. I have joined the gym and really want to get this ball rolling. I start eating my lifetime foods on May 6th and I can't wait. -
As I sit back and look at my progress sometimes I am happy and sometimes I am like REALLY. I know I am not the only one who has had some different expectations of this surgery now that you have it. I knew this was no gastric bypass BUT SOMETIMES I think I should have better results when you can't eat but a few spoonfuls of anything. I know I will get to my goal eventually but I am just hoping it doesn't take forever to get there. I didn't think it would be this hard to lose a dam pound with half a stomach. I know there are others who have had this surgery thinking the same thing.

BE HONEST PEOPLE, did anyone think okay they are going to cut my stomach and...

How many of you thought okay I am going to have this surgery and they are going to cut most of my stomach off and the weight will just drop off. Now I knew this surgery was different from the bypass but in know way did I think I would have to work so hard to loose a pound when I can't even eat but a few spoonfuls of anything. Now I am find with my slow progress BUT sometimes I sit back and say I did think this would be a little easier. Anyone else have those thoughts, I know dam well I am not the only one who is thinking this. -

You know I really love the inches to fall off eventually BUT since I am so early in the game I want the weight to come off. I know I will drop the weight I just don't want to feel like I am slacking when you read other post and I know that I should not compare. -

AvaFern how many pounds were you losing per week? Did you have alot of stalls along the way? -
Omg I had or is having the same problem. I pee maybe twice a day and I don't know what. Now I know for a fact I am NOT drinking enough AT ALL. Still I drank the same amount before surgery and went more. I have no clue why my body is doing this. Now I had one week of a stall but that was because I was not eating enough.

I said the same thing Rhonda4524, I think it is because you are not eating enough. That is a very weird thing
