I SO went through my "Last" Supper stage! I ended up gaining 8lbs. However did quickly lose them on my 2 week pre-op liquids. Was it worth it? At that time I thought so though, but not in the long run. GOOD LUCK with your journey!

Hi Harmony, I do not know how old your Special Ed students are, but I am a kindergarten teacher with Special Ed inclusion. I had my surgery on Dec. 27th and went back to work on Jan 7th. After surgery I was told that I can not lift anything over 20lbs for the next 6-8 weeks. Being back in the classroom it has been hard with my inclusion kiddo. I learned very fast that I cannot "pull" him up if he is not doing what he is supposed to be doing. It hurt! Other than being tired the few days back I haven't had any problems.

I never said I was NOT going to do what my doctor said. He has his plan, and I trust him. I am just curious as to what other doctors say.

Hi Sob and Prissypotz, I am a teacher as well. I teach in Pearland. *sniff sniff* I had to fork out the money for my surgery. I was banded on the 27th with Dr. Sherman at Baylor. So far so good, but sheesh Im ready for some mushie foods!!

But here is another one. Does anyone exprience HORRIBLE gas pains after they eat or drink anything. I am sipping my whatever and every now and then gas pains creep up on me shortly after. Thanks!

Hi all, Dec. 27th is my date for banding and I was looking at my prescriptions that the doctor had me fill. I noticed that they are all chewable or disolve on my tongue. However, my pain pill is a HORSE PILL!! My question is, isn't that strange? Am I supposed to disolve it in Water and then take it? Im thinking the taste is going to be HORRID and I sure wont be able to drink lots of water. I will try and reach the doctor tomorrow morning, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue come up. Thanks! J

Hi All, Yesterday I started a two week liquid pre-op diet. I am to consume 5 Slimfasts a day. Day 2 is going along however the shakes are so sweet! I can't believe I actually said that! It is going to be a LONG 2 weeks. Does anyone have any suggestions? Are there any other "legal" liquids some one can suggest? Thanks!

OMG! How can you survive on 3 shakes a day? Are you allowed anything else?
