  1. Canyon baby, no I did not have a "surgical team" or any nutritional counseling whatsoever! My doctor in Arlington, tx doesn't even have a nurse!! Very very disappointed in the office! Just do not feel I was well advised at all!
  2. Thank you VS, I really appreciate your input... Needed that!! Yes I started at 197 at 5'5 and hope to get down to at least 140... Sounds like you've done fantastic!! Congrats!
  3. I'm almost 4 weeks out! Too early to give advice yet! But having had the band for 9 yrs and then having the sleeve I would say about 90% of this is emotional and you really have to keep yourself in check! I love sweets and I haven't tried but I'm sure I could eat myself sick even with a smaller stomach!! So just keep this in mind when having any weight loss surgery I guess!! Good luck!
  4. VSGA, yes honestly I did.... Maybe it's just too early yet! Yea think? I don't know??? Just kinda frustrated!
  5. Sure did too think the weight would fall right off!! Most of your stomach is gone!! Can't hold half of what it used too and I'm sick of people saying it's just a tool! I didn't pay 13,500 cash for a tool . I could have gone to weight watchers for a whole lot less!! I am almost 4 weeks out and down 18 lbs.. So kinda discouraged!!
  6. band to gastric/ 4 weeks out .. Don't feel full/ never had dumping / vomiting... I almost feel like I'm on my own with This sleeve... At least I had the band to stop -well some foods although it wasn't working anymore after 9 yrs.... You say the stomach nerves are not healed but the only nerves I'm aware of in the stomach are the Constrict/ reconstrict muscles to pass the food thru!!! Not to mention when I post I can never find my post or any replies!!! Don't understand this site.. Just really bummed today!!!

Weight Loss Attention -- how to handle

Still don't understand how to get around this site ... Gone from band to sleeve!! Almost 4 weeks out and still no sense of fullness. At least with the band I would get stuck and know! But just don't know if I made a mistake with this sleeve.. It seems like your totally oN your own with this sleeve! I've lost 18 lbs since April 22 ( my surgery date) but I don't know... Everyone keeps talking about Nerves healing in the stomach- well the only nerves I know of are the nerves that constrict/reconstrict for food passage!! Think I made a mistake!
  8. Hi all, new to this site and new to the sleeve- Gone from lapband to sleeve all in the same surgery WOW- what I time I've had - just totally worn out , run down.. Just didn't expect to be so tired... Feeling good today though- What about those bowels?????? Goodness , don't want to get personal but if you have a clue what I mean is this normal? And is it for life? It's almost as though your scared to leave the house because your not sure what could happen ??? Does this make sense??? Thanks , have a great day all!!
