I am 7 days post op. Right this minute I feel regretful that I attempted this AGAIN. I'm sure in a couple of weeks I will feel better about the situation. I had Gastric Bypass in 2006. All went well until about 3 months after surgery I developed a staff infection and became septic. I almost lost my life and was told by 3 major Dr.s there was no explanation of how I survived. I lost 180 lbs and kept most of it off for a majority of years. The last 3 years the weight just started packing back on and before I had known what hit me I gained 80 + pounds, had a hernia, 2 horrible ulcers, pancreatitis etc. After months of soul searching I decided that if I had to have other issues repaired then why not get a revision while they were working in there. My surgeon was Dr. John Alexander in a Dallas, Tx. He has done over 4000 successful revisions so I figured he was qualified. I have formed no opinion nor would I give a recommendation at this point . Just to soon. He will explain procedure but not sure about aftercare procedures at this point. I had all issues fixed, and part of my stomach removed that wasn't being used plus a liver biopsy. I feel completely terrible. I have a tube draining out my stomach and feel very nauseated all the time. I just try to keep reminding myself that this to shall pass and I will be back on track. I will keep you updated . I'm sure there are better days ahead!!
