Good evening.... Tracy, too funny. Tell her ANYTIME! What is she selling for Girl Scouts? I know they sell Cookies (please call me then for sure!) Jenn, have fun! I forgot to answer your question. Zach is 14. I am with you guys on the depression thing. I have been there myself. In fact, that is when I really started gaining weight. I don't know what the answer is but be kind to yourself. I am at work tonight! I left here earlier, went for a long walk, made dinner and came back. I hope to be out of here by 11:00 pm. It's gonna be a long two months coming up, lol. Michelle.....?? How are you doing? Angela
-
Ok Jenn...that is twice that we have posted at the same time! Great minds.......lol!
-
She is beautiful!! My wallet is quite a bit lighter tonight, lol. Did I mention I love Scentsy? Have a good one! Angela
-
Good morning! Good for you Suzie!! That made me lol last night. She DID ask, lol!!! Zach got invited by one of my friends who's daughter is a senior at Baylor to go to the Rice/Baylor football game last night. He was soooo excited when he came in. That was his first college game (I pray not his last!!). Nothing much on the agenda today. I need to clean this house and Zach is trying to talk me into pulling out the Halloween decorations. I can't see why not! I have a Scentsy party to go to later on today. I love their stuff. A little pricey though... Tracy, we had the same struggles here with math. Wal-mart (and Barnes and Noble) have some really great workbooks that you can buy to help work with her. I would even go online to teaching sites and print sample worksheets and make Zach do them. My uncle is hanging in there...thank you guys for praying! Have a good Sunday! They are saying our cool front will be here this evening. YAY!!!!!! Go TEXANS!!!!!!!! Angela
-
Suzie, they sure did . The score was 21 to 19. We played hard though and I am still proud of our Dogs!!

Good morning! Hey Jenn....I thought you were sleeping in??? Go back to bed!!!! Tracy...we are here for you girl. Take a deep breath and let it all go. You are right, it was a great game. We fought til the end! I would rather go see a high school football game over the pro's any time!! Everyone kept saying Deer Park would be an easy game for us. I guess they wanted it more, lol! Our quarterback tripped on two occasions when he could have run it in. Poor guy. He will probably catch heck for a bit. I think I am going write to the local paper about the stadium issue though. We waited in a line all the way to the road because they were scanning our tickets to go in. WTH??? Did I mention this is NOT the pro's?? Normally a parent, booster member or student will tear your ticket in half and let you right in. I asked when we finally got up to the gate (after about 45 min!) exactly what that was all about. They had a hand-held scanner and they were scanning tickets one at a time. The lady said they were keeping a head count. Wow. The tickets were electronic too....I would think they would have had a count that way?? Anyhow, didn't let it ruin my night but was miffed a little, lol. I am at work today...burning and earning! As I said yesterday...I'll take it. Zach wants an IPOD Touch for his birthday. I am still doing my research on it. It's not cheap!! Have a good day! Angela
-
Oh cute, Tracy!!! LOL. I am wearing my "I fear no deer" t-shirt tonight to the football game (Sorry Plain...it is camo...not transparent, tee-hee!!). You are welcome to join us! I think it is $6.00 to get in. The deer put a whoopin' my son's team last night...their first loss of the season .... but I think we will redeem ourselves tonight!! We just got informed that we will be working every weekend until Thanksgiving. That is exciting on one hand (Christmas money) and depressing on another. We should rotate our staff so that it isn't everybody every weekend, but I will soak up what I can get. I was a little excited about getting things done around the house while Mike was working but it looks like I will be joining him now. TEAMWORK!! ....not. lol. I will be all over "teamwork" when he starts cooking, washing dishes and laundry!!!!!! OH! As soon as we get a little closer (and the plans worked out about us meeting) I will try and take a vacation day to avoid working that weekend. Let me know! I am working tomorrow so I will chat with you guys then. Have a great evening!! GO BULLDOGS!!!!!!!! (Tracy, had to...lol!!!) Oh! ....I am forgetful today! Kat, be safe and have fun! When you coming back??? We miss you already!! ...somebody needs to remove the exclamation key from my keyboard.............!!!!!!!!!!!!! Angela
-
Good morning!!! Plain...you're still a turd in my book, but I don't have the confidence to deliberately wear a see through shirt!! LOL. I joined the sagging wagon a long, long time ago. (TMI...but right back at ya!!). Add to that the muffin top and boy...I got it goin' on!!!!!! Sorry girls...send me the bill for your dramamine/pepto bismal! I do love to laugh and joke and I hope everyone is reading the humor in the posts from the last week or so. I am sorry if we offended anyone! Back to work... Angela
-
Holy cow. I cannot...simply cannot think of a single thing to say to that Plain. LMBO. I think it's best that I sleep on my thoughts and try again tomorrow. TURD!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lilmiss- we were Victorious Valentines together! Best wishes to you. You sound very excited and you should be!! Keep us posted. .....Margarita(s) went down smooth. Goodnight (again!!). Angela
-
So....Plain...you meeting us in Texas too??? That would be a hoot. I did have a couple of batches of rolls come out ok last night (after turning down the oven and moving them to the top rack). They were a hit this morning!!! Whew! After I finally started shutting things down last night I heard Mike talking in the bedroom. Turns out he was getting calls from his job. It made for a really long night. I am plenty whooped! I will get on tomorrow when I have recharged, lol! Have a good night. Angela

Ai yi yi, Kat! You sure have your "vacation" cut out for you!! Try and keep focused on the joy of seeing your grandbabies again. That should help. I agree with you about addicts though. I believe it is referred to as tough love . Thank you guys for your prayers for my uncle. He is a well known teacher here in the Houston area and a world traveler. He has always been very special to me. He had been doing really well for quite some time...considering all that he has been through (surgery and more surgery). He went to the hospital last week with a stomach bug...or so he thought and they found an obstruction in his small intestine. I think I said it earlier...he is now at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center and expected to be there at least through next week. They are not sure if it is something he will pass, scar tissue or more cancer. There are other medical issues at play here but the prospect of more cancer is the hardest one to deal with right now. Please keep praying for him. Gotta change subjects :rolleyes2:... GRRRRR. I have just spent the better part of 3 hours in this stupid kitchen making homemade cinnamon rolls. My boss is having twins and her baby shower is tomorrow at work. I am NOT a cook but I have found a recipe that seems (ok..maybe seemED is a better word) to work for me. I went to the store and bought some Glad brand plastic baking dishes that can be reused or tossed. I wanted something I wouldn't have to track down when it was all said and done. Needless to say...the tops look beautiful but when I flipped them slightly to check the bottoms, they are almost burnt. I am thinking it is partially the cinnamon and partially...well....damn it....overcooked. I made these a few days ago (just for a test run...promise!!) in my own bakeware at exactly the same temp/time and they were fine. I think it is the plastic the pan is made of or something. Can't be my fault!!! LOL. Ahhh!! Guess I am getting tired. It's after midnight. Guess it's time to hit the sack! Sorry for my spelling and run-ons and "that doesn't make any sense" sentences. I tried to fix 'em but I am too tired!! Have a good one... Angela
-
Jenn, I am also glad you are ok. Car accidents are scary business. Take care of yourself. Tracy, a road trip sounds fun. Let me know... Please keep my Uncle Benjamin in your prayers today. He has been fighting with cancer on and off for a couple of years now and was (re)admitted to M. D. Anderson Cancer Center yesterday. He is very sick  .
-
Ditto what Kat said. Sorry for the drive-by post earlier. I jump on and off all day during work and I just felt the need to let you know we cared. As soon as I had another spare few minutes I looked up Lupus. I too would like to learn more about it. Michelle, we are your friends...through the good and bad. Let us help you through this, k?? Kat...boy, grrr!! You guys get walked on a lot! I would enjoy meeting you in Texas as well...but on your terms!! Fixing to get out of here and head home. Have a good one!
-
((((Michelle)))) We love you girl.

Good morning! I am not ashamed to say that I just woke up! Tracy, I would love for you guys to go. I thought about you yesterday as I was driving down. I didn't have any idea I was going to until yesterday morning when Mike and I got to talking about the rain (it's a five hour drive round-trip!). The next time we go, you guys need to come. It's a really fun place! I think Cindy is right. The flashing was one of the first "fixes" that we had done. We are now thinking it was done incorrectly though. Has to be... Mike is at work again today. This time of year is what I call shutdown season. He works more weekends than not. I hate it. I admit that the first couple of weekends are ok because I actually get some deep cleaning done around here but after that I really hate it! Ah well...we are blessed with jobs. I know many without  . Happy birthday Darrell!!! Suzie, I am so glad you guys made it home safely! I really enjoyed your visit as well!!!! Cindy- to weekend work!! I would be at Starbucks too! How was the game last night? The only thing on around here was the Texas-Texas Tech game. Zach is a huge Longhorn fan. It was a good game! He loves LSU as well and that is his second choice. I haven't heard him mention the score yet though...lol. Michelle, how was the game? Jennifer...add me to your list of admirers! Keep on pushin' through! I am super proud of you too!! Where the dickens is Kat...Debbie....Shar?? We have monkey bread in the oven. Because we need it? Nope. I am trying new recipes and this was one of the bad...but oh so good ones (I hope) that I wanted to try. My house smells very good right now! Boy, do I need a fill!! I am thinking next week some time. Having no fill I have really taken advantage of getting...make that allowing myself to eat bread. All of my work pants are too tight. Why do I keep eating this way? I AM my own worse enemy :tt1: . I am making some yogurt/ Panko bread crumb baked chicken for dinner. Maybe I can redeem myself yet! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Angela
-
Oh man!! I am getting a bad rap on here. I am ambidextrious (I know I messed that word up...) and I eat with both hands. Hence going "both ways". LOL!!!!!
-
 I just lost my post!! Tracy and Cindy, I would love to go!! That sounds like a blast. Maybe we can set a tenative date so I can attempt to comp a room this time? I don't seem to have a lot of luck with it! Michelle, how adorable! I would love to see pics. That made me think of when Zach was in t-ball. He loved airplanes and helicopters. His attention span was short and he was a goner if one flew over the field. LOL, good memories! I hope Suzie and her hubby are enjoying the last leg of their vacation! Tracy, where the heck did all this rain come from?? We had a 20% chance when I left the house this morning. I just drove down to Palacios through blinding rain both ways. EEK!! Our bayhouse down there has been prone to roof leaks. Our main roof is shingled and it slopes down to an add-on room that has a metal roof. For a while now we have noticed small leaks that are somewhere near the seam of the two roofs. We have had dang near every guy on the street come by with advice (and some form of tar or repair junk) to help us stop it. We really thought we had it fixed when we left last time, but just for peace of mind I drove down to make sure everything was ok (they have been getting serious rain from all the tropical storms and now Hurricane Karl). You guessed it, it's still leaking!! :scared2: The sheetrock is wet and the paint is peeling. I cleaned it up as best as I could and put down every trash can and five gallon bucket I could find to catch anything else that may fall. This is the house that we slaved over during the July 4th holiday...paint, texture, new carpet and linolium. Jeez. All that work...not to mention the money invested. Mike (who is stuck at work during all of this) is calling a professional out to hopefully get it fixed for good. Anyhow, sorry to whah-whah on you guys. I hope you are having a good one. I think I am going to make some coffee and anchor down on the sofa. Have a good weekend! Angela
-
Just so you guys know....whatever the other two ladies tell you....I did NOT throw peanuts with and at Frank..and I most certainly did NOT have my hands on Tracy and Suzie's legs during the second picture. Nope...nuh-uh. Not me...NEVER!! LOL!!!!!!! G'night!!
-
What great pics!!!!!! I didn't realize that shirt was so transparent . And somebody QUICK!! Bring me some toliet paper to blot my greasy face, lol. Other than that...perfect! That really was a blast! It's always a little nerve-racking meeting people for the first time...you never know what to expect. I too, look forward to getting to know you better Suzie. You and your husband are very sweet. Tracy (as always!) is a doll and Frank is a hoot! ...and that shy baby Macy...we will have to just keep on working her out of her shell. Peanuts, anyone?? Have a good night!!! Angela

Here's to a better day!!!!! Boy, I sure woke up to a dry mouth this morning. Dang tequila...or was it the lime? LOL. Michelle...Zach dreams of the pro's. We shall see. I do know we eat, sleep and (you know...lol) football for the next few months. He loves it. Suzie, I don't think I could have rode that elevator!! The sound of seventy-five floors down into the earth makes my throat tighten. I can only imagine it's beauty though. We have some caverns near San Antonio and a pretty cool drive-through petting zoo. There is so much to do there!! The Alamo is neat and the Riverwalk is beautiful too. Very near there is what I believe is referred to as the largest water park in the states. Schlitterbaun! And of course, the Guadalupe river (toobing!!). We have spent many a weekend there. If you log on and read this before you leave there (and are traveling down I-10) look for the Buc-ee's sign! It is a gas station/convienence store but an amazing one (big). They are popping up everywhere around here. They have really neat souveniers (sp) and lots of jerky, sweets, jellies, nuts and sandwiches! Not to mention SUPER clean bathrooms!! It will be on the right side of the freeway. The signs will go on for miles and miles about Buc-ee the Beaver...lol. The kids around here all have Buc-ee's t-shirts. I am with Tracy...you guys decide what you are in the mood to eat and what time you would like to meet and we will make it happen. Back to work!! See ya later!! Angela
-
Absolutely, Suzie! Well...at least they have all the stuff for us to make them there (Walmart). We could go into the gardening department with a blender and an extension cord and get the margarita's going right there! I bet we could find a patio table with an umbrella and a kiddie pool to stick our feet in while we relax! Just think, we could page people on the intercom when we run out of ice and frozen Bacardi mix! Sheesh. People can get married in Walmart (bizaar!) so why not? They have cute little plastic cups in housewares. If we got a little tipsy we could open up a fouton and sleep it off. LMBO! Back to planet earth now: Tracy mentioned a great mexican food restaurant that we can go to called DonKey's. It is totally up to you. We also have some pretty awesome seafood. Just let us know what you prefer. We have a neat little boardwalk in Kemah, but if you are coming during the weekend it probably wouldn't work out. It is a mess of traffic there on Saturday and Sunday. Today was one of those days that I would rather soon forget. I got a butt chewing from a terminal manager that wasn't mine to take. I believe he realized he was wrong later in the day (by his change of attitude) but an apology was not to be had. Jerk!! He's one of those men that thrives on power trips (me: I love my job...I love my job....I am grateful to have a job...). I bought a really darling rhinestone shirt to support the La Porte High School football teams (Zach) this past week. It has a huge LP (weaved together) and a paw print on the shoulder for the bulldogs (the mascot). I wore it to work today, game day, and the stones were popping off left and right and landing on my desk. It wouldn't have been a big deal if I would have had time to go home and change before the game. As it was, I couldn't get the lady who made it to call me back and I was getting a little more than upset. The shirt was cheap (Target for like eight bucks) but the applications were not. To have that happen the first time I wore it?? NO WAY!! I guess the butt chewing this morning set the tone for the rest of my day. Anyhow, I popped into her shop on the way to the game and she had me run into her office and throw on a spare t-shirt while she fixed mine. I sure hope it holds this time. I noticed she caused a tear in one little spot (removing a stone that was out of place) but I think some simple sewing will solve that. Overall I was not terribly impressed. I take that back...stuff happens. It's just that today it felt like it was compounding, you know? The football game was awesome. They are 4-0! Zach has been starting (first string) and he is doing really well. He makes us super proud. I keep threatening to get a shirt with "Doodlebug's Mom" on the back of it! That is what we called him when he was little. At 6'2-ish and 300 lbs. he really doesn't look like a doodlebug anymore!! Sorry guys...guess I will admit to tipsy typing now. We went to my favorite mexican food restaurant tonight and I drank two margaritas. Not enough to tie one on but just enough to make things seem a little less serious. I needed it! Gonna try and get some rest and put this silly day behind me. I don't know why I let petty things get to me today but I did!! Have a good evening! Angela
-
So cool!! Thanks for sharing those, Suzie! You guys look wonderful. Poor Kinsey...I can imagine those drills were a bit tramatizing! Hopefully she will rest better tonight. Well Suzie...I don't have a southern drawl, lol! Tracy definately does. We talked about it when we first met at Starbucks. She is too cute!! Off to work...have a good day! Angela
-
Awww, Michelle. I hope things went ok. Take a deep breath and get some rest! Suzie...love, love, love the pics!! I am so jealous. I laughed out loud at the anal probe. I think that would be reason enough for me to be running along to the next stop on my trip too!! I am so glad you guy's visit went so wonderfully. I am looking forward to ours. Somebody post pics, please! I am sitting here yawning so I guess I will call it a night. Good night!
-
Morning! Cindy, crazy? Maybe, but dedicated? YES! I hope you get to feeling better. Shar!! I am so sorry I forgot your name. Good morning to you. Jenn- Lucky you to get to wear boots and jeans every day. Congrats on the FD! Suzie, I am so excited for you guys...and equally excited to meet you. Keep us posted. Tracy must be at Wal-mart again . Hehehe...where you at girl? Kat, take some pics for us. I hope you guys have fun! Michelle, Plain...and anybody else I missed, hope you are having a great day! Debbie....let's see, to describe myself: I am 35 years old, 5'7 and for the most part equally porportioned. I have dirty blond hair and blue eyes. I think my best feature is my smile. I love to laugh!! Also, my mouth tends to outrun my brain so when I catch myself saying something stupid, I just smile in attempt to cover it up. I smile A LOT, lol. In all seriousness, I get a case of the nerves when I am around others. I used to be a chatty Cathy, but somewhere along the way I apparently lost a bit of confidence. I seem to do well chatting online though! I had a ginormous (is that a word?) tumor removed from my stomach years ago and my belly is lop-sided. The scar is not straight (it probably has to do with my fat not depositing itself evenly, lol) and I have a muffin top so I am very self-concious of it. I, like Cindy, would love to have a boob job and have them fix my tummy. I cannot afford it right now! Gotta get back to work. Have a good one! Angela
-
Morning!! Michelle, hang in there! We ARE all in this together. One day at a time, right? Debbie...your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Cancer is a very ugly disease  . Cindy, how you feeling this morning? Hopefully better! Kat and Jenn- All this talk of fire wood and warm clothes is making me jealous! My car was reading 94 for most of the day yesterday! Too dang hot! I know we have about three more weeks until we generally see a mild cold front (Right Tracy? It is usually during the Pasadena Rodeo, lol). I hope that Suzie is living it up!!!!!! Michelle- I sense that you are a pet lover?? LOL, I wasn't always but I am quickly getting there. I think about you guys every time I see a fire in Cali. That gas line explosion was horrifying. I read that the people there had been complaining about the smell of gas for over a week. How does that happen?? Tracy, I didn't see you at wally world yesterday. BUT! We ventured to Wendy's last night for those frosties with candy in them (can't remember the name). Man, we are so connected!! LOL! Great minds think alike? Zach's games are on Thursday's at 4:30 (freshman). I have a hard time getting there "on time" because of work. They have one more home game this coming week and then they go on the road for a bit. They haven't lost a game yet (knocking on wood!). Missbuckeye- I am scrambling for your name! I am going to blame it on just waking up, lol. But a HUGE good morning to you too! I hope you got to sleep in today after working late last night! I hope I didn't miss anyone. Have a great Sunday!!! Angela
