Idk....I haven't gained but I haven't lost one pound and am going on 13 days. I drink 2 premier protein shakes a day. That's 60 grams. Today I started grits and pureed veggies.

Pre-op Diet , i cheated :(
Zachnchrissy replied to knf7111's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's very hard not to cheat. I cheated the 1ST week pre op but not the second...once you get your surgery, that's it. Their ain't no going back. You really need to dig down and find the will power to do this. I understand the hunger and the desire for food but this is only temporary. We're not going to be on liquids for ever. I'm 9 days out today and I'm just now up to full liquids and I would kill for a burger but no way I'm going to chance it But yes your liver will be fine -
Have you tried eating with a baby spoon? When I eat my pudding it hurts horrible. I have to thin it out or use the baby spoon cause my bites are to big....but your esophagus may be to narrow so definitely ask the dr

Girl I'm the same way. I am 9 days post op today and I see all these post about how they struggle getting 2 to 3 ounces down and it don't take me 5 min to drink my 11 ounce protein shake. I eat a 4 ounce soup and still get hungry but don't eat cause I don't wanna over do it. Plus I have weighed the same for 4 days

2 week post op and on full liquids...any ideas besides jello pudding and soups?
-
And to answer your question sugar free and fat free is NOT the same. You can now have creamed soups but they should be fat free....I been snacking on sugar free pudding...taste amazing and they come in 3oz servings

Same day here too. Wasn't supposed to start phase 2 til tomorrow but like you I'm getting hungry so I started today. Had my premier protein shake this morning....then 4 oz of cream of chicken soup....it made my stomach ache pretty good but I took some gas x and it went away. Then I had a 3oz sugar free pudding. So far so good. I'm with you on the hungry thing though. I'm SICK of liquids and EVERYTHING smells so damn good. This is gonna be a mental obstacle. I weighed 311 the day of surgery....316 the day I came home and 308 today....I hope this is normal....I would love to keep in touch since our surgery date is the same

Thank you

Ok I know I shouldn't be stressing this right now but I need to know. The day I went in for surgery I weighed 311. The day I came home I weighed 316. Last night (day 6) I was down to 305. I weighed this morning and I weighed 309. I am averaging about 32 ounces a day right now. WHY AM I GAINING WEIGHT?????

I am on a low carb high protein...Nothing has changed. Sugar free everything, water, broth, fat free creamed soups, and my protein shakes

I am 5 days post op today. The new whey protein made me sick. They are very disgusting and I couldn't keep them down. I am not supposed to start my protein shakes til Monday but I had to cause I couldn't find any other way to get it all in. I feel so much better -
Yes....most definitely

I left a post yesterday but I am such a worry wart that I'm freaking my self out. I am 4 days out from surgery. I am on clear liquids til the 4th. I have no problems drinking and keeping it down but I am having problems with the pain and the amount. I am on a goal of 60/60...60 liquid ounces and 60 protein. I'm LUCKY to get 26 ounces and 42 protein. It takes me an hour to get 4 ounces down. I am doing g2 with my protein drink shot, broth, and sf popsicles. I get an intense pain ( huge gas bubble) in my chest that comes and goes like a contraction. My stomach bubbles ALL the time and today I am really tired. IS ALL OF THIS SOUND NORMAL?
-
I had the same diet instructions as well with nothing but clear liquids...not even my shakes. I'm day 4 today and I went against Dr orders and had a premier protein shake. I feel so much better

My Dr is weird. I see everyone else on their protein shakes and vitamins by now but my Dr said no to both until day 7....I finally broke down at dinner and had a premier protein and I feel sooooo much better -
Any advice is great!

4 day post op pain
Zachnchrissy replied to nicolenathe's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm so glad I read this post. I just had mine done on the 27th and I am experiencing the same exact thing. It's scary because it's in my chest and I already have anxiety. I also get the pain off and on without drinking anything. I'll be glad when it's gone. -
I had my sleeve in the 27th. I'm experiencing pain in my chest that comes and goes. Scares me but I heard it was gas. How many incisions did you get

Chest pain when swallowing
Zachnchrissy replied to Zachnchrissy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am only allowed clear fluids for 6 days. Broth, water, tea, sugar free popsicles....the pain is right under my breast bone in the middle and extends to both the right and left side. It leaves as fast as it comes on. I guess I'm just a little scared cause it's my chest.
