I was reading up on support groups as I have two months left for my supervised weight loss program before surgery is scheduled and I came across the app online. I have been to one support group at the hospital but my surgeon suggested something that I could keep up with more than once a month. As I said, I have two months left before I am submitted to insurance for approval and schedule surgery(surgeon says he's hoping for late august-early September. I have decided on the gastric sleeve and doc said he agreed. I am a type-1 diabetic with high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I am extremely nervous about being a type-1 on an insulin pump but doc is very hopeful and educated so I'm really excited.
