May 6 Sleeved and not much progress
Katie K Kitt replied to GAC's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I don't drink enough fluids, don't eat enough protein, and don't exercise. Don't beat yourself up. You'll lose weight and slow is okay, then you won't end up with loose skin!!! -

Didn't have him/her, but you'll be fine! They run a smooth system down there. Good luck. -

Lower BMI Peeps out there please HELP!
Katie K Kitt replied to tiarowley's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That's pretty much what I weighed the day of surgery and am just over a month out and 174.5. I cannot WAIT to be 159!!!! That's my "look decent in a bikini" weight. Luckily I have another 6 or 7 weeks til I'm in Cali on the beach. WOO HOO! -

Katie K Kitt replied to tiarowley's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm not 100% about BMI, but I am 5'7 and was near 200 pounds. Lost a few, am one month post-op and have been stalled for a week. But at 176 pounds, I look a LOT better so... whatever. Trying to be patient and at least I look somewhat average currently. I don't have a bikini-wearing trip for another 6 weeks (July 30 to Cali) so pretty sure I will be okay by then. The real trip is a Bahamas cruise Sept 19 and I want to be at goal weight by then. Right now I don't believe I will ever lose another pound, but I'm sure that's illogical. -
struggling to get anything in

Sick of protein shakes. Food is no fun. Also stalling. Miserable today! Haha. -
Stalling which i hate right now
Katie K Kitt replied to bagonian74's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
People are different. I think it's pretty natural to compare yourself to others going through the same thing. Not sure why you have to be judgmental when people are feeling frustrated. Everyone is entitled to their feelings and I think it's pretty normal to feel impatient after undergoing surgery and dramatically changing your life. -
Good for you! I had the VSG on May 16 and am stalling in my third week as predicted. Frustrating. Congrats!

May Sleevers...where are you?
Katie K Kitt replied to bvenegas's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Two weeks post op and gained a pound from yesterday. So upset. I had a shake, broth, and about three spoonfuls of Cream of Wheat. Otherwise it was a day of water and diet iced tea! Where's the justice?! -

Try everything and anything you can. Lemonade, juice, iced tea, regular tea...every fruit juice under the sun... I know what you mean but didn't really have a hard time with liquids. It's phase two (full liquids) I hate. I am almost 2 weeks post-op and wondering if i will ever feel normal again! -

Fair enough! I am 10 days post-op and not in the best mood. On Valium and Tramadol and hungry. Forgive my bad mood too. -

Boy are people bossy and arrogant. Like all of a sudden we're a bunch of skinny little experts who can judge and shame other people on these forums? No shit she shouldn't be eating that stuff. We all slip up. I just had a bite of a sandwich dipped in beef broth. Better call the fat police. I'm here for you, @justbeingme1972! No judgment or "better than you" bullshit or attitude. -

I found it is helpful to think of ALL the people who studied, went to years of university etc etc so that they can ALL help you through this. Nurses, anesthesiologists, doctors, internists... Every single one of them is there to help you! And you are their focus. And they are all there to give you the very best treatment and use all their education and skill to help you from start to finish. YOU'RE IN GREAT HANDS! -

You will all do amazingly!!! I am 9 days post-op and happy as can be. Of course it's not easy as pie, but it's worth it and it's not so bad!!! And I have only lost a handful of pounds. I can't imagine how good I'll feel in a month or two. -
I had the VSG in Tijuana on May 16 with Dr. Salvador Ramirez. I recovered at the Vida boutique and it was all arranged through TINY (The Incredible New You). The entire experience was incredible. Nurses were fantastic, anesthesiologist was amazing, I can't say enough about the care and support I received. My only annoyance is I am 5 days post-op and am 2 pounds heavier than I was the day of surgery. I have been losing a little every day, but still it's frustrating. Anyone else GAIN weight?

OMG you are soooo funny! BMI was 31 going into surgery I think. Highest weight was 198. Preop diet got me down to 193.5. I'm 9 days post-op and down to 186. I hate eating! I just tried blended creamy soup and hated it. I like drinking light lemonade and Premier Protein. Water too of course. I actually water down the lemonade also. I'm losing weight quickly right now but know I'll stalk or slow down soon enough so just trying to enjoy this without being too arrogant!!! Stall not stalk. -

Glad to hear you're doing well too! I'm happy because I'm 188.1 today so have definitely lost! Today is the first day of full liquids. I have to admit I was pretty happy and used to clear. But I'll throw it three Premier Protein shakes a day for the next week. -

Surgery May 26th! So nervous!
Katie K Kitt replied to Wishfull.shrinking's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's normal to be a bit scared - I was! I mean, it IS surgery. But it's a very simple surgery and I had surgery one week ago today and feel really good. I had a small complication with an ab muscle that bled, so that area is sore, but it's nothing serious at all. I have also lost about 5 pounds. -

Feeling VERY depressed today. Anyone else have this issue? I hope it's a physical thing. -
Omg I'm going crazy
Katie K Kitt replied to AlexSleevedIt's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Yes but it's not that simple. Not like flicking a light switch. Try Judith Beck and Martha Beck for some actual neuroplasticity to help change your brain. -
Yes I love ordering wonton soup etc and just eating the broth. Amazing!
