What you can do is mix the liquid vitamins with your meal.

Good on you Kate you are one of the ones that work with the band and that lead to your success.

The best way to success with your weight loss is not to deprive yourself. When you stop eating everything you love then you run the risk of failure as a person can only hold their breath under water for so long.
-
I think they are useless you will get more benefits out of half a glass of milk with an egg mixed into it.

We need to remember that the band is a tool and not a magic wand so having it too tight will not solve your problems but learning how to use it effectively will.

Hey all just curious where you all get your motivation from. For me it's been watching reality shows about obesity as well as this forum of course. -
I know how you feel when extremely busy at work snacking is nearly a must we need fuel to keep us going we need carbs to keep us awake so I guess on thing I'm doing now to try and overcome this is filling up small bags with ten almonds in each one seal them and instead of snacking on crisps I snack on almonds. Best of luck

Why do obese men get bariatric surgery far less than women?
AussieSam replied to B-52's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I think it's probably because men think they can exercise it off better then women can and probably because men look in the mirror less. -
Either losing weight or gaining weight. I find myself either losing weight or putting it on. Any good advise to break this cycle.

Are you one of these people ?
AussieSam replied to AussieSam's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Doctor says it's common when highly stressed and I need to make sure I keep all sugary things out of the house during this time. It's true old habits are hard to break but all we can do is try. -
I'm an equal fan cannot drink tea or coffee without it.

Hey all I'm just wondering if anyone can eat more after exercise. I seem to be able to eat more after exercise but less when I dont. Is that normal ?

New to Bariatric Pal and have questions
AussieSam replied to ogleland's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I guess you can choose any weight loss surgery as success will depend on you not the surgery. I had more then 250 lbs to lose when I started but my doctor recommended the lap band for me as he said because of my ability to do a lot of exercise I didn't need to do the bypass. He said the bypass had a lot of complications and in the long term they all seem to get similar results . Good luck whatever you choose -

Some part of the year for about 4 months I am extremely busy at work and spend about 16 to 18 hours a day. I sort of slip off the wagon at this time and gain about 20 pounds during this period. I don't exercise at this time and sugar sneaks up to me unknowingly. Once this period is over I find the wagon again -
Make sure you get a lot of nutritional advise from your trainer, always ask questions. I remember my trainer advising me about my diet saying be on a low carb diet but never be on a no carb diet.

My Delightful first VSG turned Nightmare @ "resleeve" by Almanza
AussieSam replied to Popsicle530's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I think if you going in to be re sleeved means you still have not learnt proper eating habits, revising surgeries are not always gonna work if you have not fixed up what's in your mind. -
I still like all the food I had before surgery but in much smaller portions. That way I don't feel like I'm on a diet.
-
Feeling hungry is normal exercise gets rid of that hunger feeling so does drinking lots of water all the best with your surgery.

I agree winter food tastes much better but as Kate said soups are the way to go I love tomato soup with a can of tuna added to it for protein.

Well said yes all of us go through stalls and plateaus but the eventually pass.
