My advice would be go with your heart and do what's best for yourself. For those that fear the right decision for themselves are the ones left behind. -
Only 45 pounds in 5 months? ..anyone? Help please....
AussieSam replied to aclinton16's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Losing is up to you but if your drinking wine every day then you should expect slow weight loss because wine is empty calories. Add up all the calories you drank from wine and divide by 3500 and that will give you how many more pounds you could've lost. -
Congrats on your success and thanks for the inspiration.

Love???? my band!
AussieSam replied to Julie norton's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I can definitely say the band is the best thing since sliced bread. I believe the majority of the people that do have problems with it is due to them not been educated about the band and how to work with it. Hey all I think my cat needs bariatric surgery as he is getting really fat. Last week something extraordinary happened. I had a real big chicken roasted in the oven and as I was taking it out of the oven it fell on the ground and we decided we were not going to eat it anymore. So I put it out to my cat to eat. My cat ate it all and even the bones. Anyway the funny thing is ten minutes after it ate it all I went outside and my cat came up to me giving me those hunger noises as it seemed it was starving to death. It shocked me and I had to go and get it some more food. I think my cat needs gastric bypass.

Enjoy the journey and never be down on yourself for not losing weight as fast as you wanted to or as fast as others as it's not a race. Enjoy the journey and wish you all the best. -
NKOTB - Thank you to you all
AussieSam replied to Letsgetskinny's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I wish you all the best in your journey and remember one thing never ever have your band too tight in the future in order to loose weight faster because if you do you will get real bad reflux and you will go through a nightmare. -
Bile Reflux
AussieSam replied to Nicole Lynn Martin's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I think one you get severe reflux you may need to look at another revision. -
Just for Men: How long did it tak you to get your brain and stomach back in syncronization?
AussieSam replied to Nikasio's topic in The Guys’ Room
I can say about 6 months. The trick is protein and water. -
It's common knowledge that revision surgeries have slower weight loss then original surgery. Rude people will always be rude so when I come across a rude comment pointed at me I always say yes I'm losing weight slowly but all good things come slowly and why rush nobody's chasing me.

Hey all wanted to share this funny story with you all. Today I was at the gym and ten minutes into my workout I got extreme gas you know the silent but violent type. Anyway I started landing them left right and centre and the smell was really bad. So bad that everybody in the gym was blocking there nose and blaming the other person I was just smiling and minding my own business. The owner of the gym was next to me on the treadmill and I started complaining to him about the bad smell. He said to me that they are stink bombs found in a tree and when you stepped on them they let out a bad smell so I went along with him. So what would you do if you were there in the gym at that time?
-
Thanks cupcake I went back to that same gym today and there seemed to be a big relief in the air probably because I didn't have gas.

Gastric Sleeve to MGB in 18 days
AussieSam replied to Manuel Lopez Ganoza's topic in Mini Gastric Bypass Surgery Forum
Remember with all surgeries they are a tool and not a magic wand. I believe one can choose any surgery and the onus is on the individual to make it work. Anybody can regain weight after surgery. -
I agree with the others try to develop good eating habits before the surgery and you should do well afterwards.
