OK by me!

OK Dianne, I'm jealous! How many cruises do you take each year? :tea: Now that I'm on "real" food again. I do think my fill is helping with hunger. I'm more hungry and hungry more often in the morning, but it was 5 hours after lunch yesterday before I felt any hunger. I do think I have more capacity than I should ... is that normal? I do have another newbie question, do you eat until full or just until satisfied?
-
Kim, it's awesome that the website is up and running! I love the Bios too! You look awesome!

Angie, we're here if you need us; prayers continue! I can't tell any difference with my fill; so I guess we haven't hit the sweet spot yet. I ate 1.5 oz. of cashews this afternoon and didn't feel a thing. I'm still having frequent hunger and simply toughing it out between meals. I see Dr. V in 3 weeks, and gather he'll do another fill in 6 weeks? I've had my wedding rings on for two days now without pain from being too tight. John and I are also going for a second night in a row sleeping together without him kicking me out for snoring. We love to cuddle! I'm also in a size 18 now from a starting size of 22, but I may have already told that one?

Angie, I experienced the same thing with birth control pills, but that's been over 20 years ago, and I know the pill has changed/evolved a lot since then. I pray you feel better, and they find it's nothing signficant! We went to see "Pirates ..." 2 on Saturday. Otherwise, I spent a big part of my weekend finishing up the quarterly church newsletter. I'm "Contributing Editor", in other words I harrass others to write for the newsletter, and still write 3/4 of it myself. I'm on mushies, and so far, I haven't really been able to tell a difference with my 1st fill. I go back to "real" food tomorrow, and maybe will be able to tell then? If not, I'll get a second fill as soon as Dr. V's protocols permit. I still can't wait to see everyone on August 5th! :clap2:
-
Bless your heart Denika! Did Dr. B say what he thougt the problem was with your fill? Does he think he can put any back in again?

This list was compiled from suggestions made by banded folks here at LBT. Some suggestions are not applicable to everyone; so if uncertain whatsoever please consult your surgeon! I've split it into four sections. Can someone plase make this into a "Sticky" thread? Thanks! CONGRATULATIONS DIANNE! I hope to join you in a few months!
-
I got my first fill today, 1 cc. Like Angie, I'm on liquids then mushies, but only over four days. Needless to say, I won't be able to tell if there's a difference before I get back to "real" food again. As hot has it's been, I'm actually looking forward to a few days of just liquids again! Dianne & Angie, it's great to see your renewed enthusiam! I goofed off after my fill and just came into work; so I need to get busy and actually get something done. TTFN!
-
I'm praying for everyone right now. It seems a large number of my friends are going through trials, but God never gives us more than we can handle! The only thing new for me is getting my ears pierced ... again. I'm up to 10 earrings now ... 7 on the left ear, 3 on the right. John hasn't even noticed yet, and he usually picks up on these things. I think I'm done with my ears, but as soon as I get around to having it designed, am ready for my next tattoo! I want it visable this time, instead of hidden like my other two. I want a cross and the words "Jesus Saves" on my ankle. I want it designed because I haven't seen anything I like. I want it decidedly feminine, delicate but colorful, but with the writing still easily readable. Does that make sense?
-
Sounds awesome to me! I don't have a preference to time of day; the pool party is already on my calendar, and I'm not scheduling anything else with it.
-
Maybe we could meet after for a protein shake?
-
I'm still planning on bringing mashed cauliflower. My daughter has an awesome low-fat recipe. John has declined coming with me; he's funny/odd that way ... like it's "my thing" and he doesn't want to intrude?
-
I miss everyone! I can't wait until Aug. 5th, but fortunately it's not that far away! My 1st fill was rescheduled for Friday. Otherwise, I don't have anything new or exciting to report. I hope everyone is doing well? TTFN
-
Way to go Angie! This is just what you need; congratulations!
-
Have any of you experienced post-op fatigue? I'm almost 6 weeks post-op, am eating by the rules, and am doing 30 minutes of cardio 4-5 days a week. I thought I slept well last night, but this morning I am dragging in the worst way! I can barely keep my eyes open! Otherwise, I feel fine.
-
I'm averaging 70 grams of protein daily, and I my multi-vitamin has 100% USDA for B-12.
-
Dianne, I missed something somewhere ... what accident? Are you OK?
-
How soon after surgery did you feel hungry?
Mrs Sabre replied to div95008's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I too imagine it varies from person to person, but I didn't get ravenously hungry until four weeks post-op. I'm guessing that's when the swelling had gone down? I get my first fill next Tuesday. -
I was in a class at our service center out on Harris Blvd. yesterday. I was going back to the office downtown to get some time sensative work done before going home for the day. I got ready to step off the parking deck elevator and dropped my keys. THEY FELL DOWN THE ELEVATOR SHAFT! :help: What are the chances of perfectly dropping your keys in the crack that might be 1 1/2 inches wide? Security called building maintenance, who in turn called the company that services their elevators. The company said I would be charged $350 if they came out yesterday, but wouldn't charge if I would wait until today. I had to call John at work for him to bring me spare keys. To top it off, I might have been back in the office downtown for 15 minutes when security at the Harris Blvd. office called stating they had retrieved my keys! :faint:
-
As far as I know, I can be there. I don't know if John (DH) will want to come or not? (Never slowed me down any.)
-
When you started exercising, did your port area start feeling tender? It feels the way a bruised area feels; it only feels tender if you actually touch it or bending certain ways.
-
OK, can't make it tomorrow evening either, but look for me next month! Pool party, here we come!
-
I'll work on Stacy and get back with you all. Where?
-
Is this the same topic? Tuesday dinner works better for me in July.
