    Our Next Get Together

As things stand right now, any of these days are fine by me :scared: Y'all figure it out, and just let me know when.

    redness and itchy

Dianne, I hope this gets better soon. I agree with Kim, if it doesn't improve, you may want to get it looked at? Hang in there lady, and let us know if there's anything we can do to help.

    I'm Home...

Jennifer, it's so good to hear from you! I'm glad it went well, and all the anxiety/worry is over! Congratulations girl! You'll truly shrink before our very eyes!
  4. My appointment went well. Dr. V is going to my insurance and feels confident enough to have me go ahead with the remaining pre-surgical tests: chest x-ray, EKG, exercise physiology, and abdominal ultra sound. The ultra sound isn't routinely required, but I've been having some upper abdominal pain lately, and he's checking for gall stones. If I have gall stones, he'll take my gallbladder at the same time. He said with his schedule, it's still likely to be two months before surgery. I'm hoping he's wrong, but at least I'm making progress again, rather than waiting.

    Moving Along ... Again!

Bravo Randy! I like that one :couch2: Even us conserative types can appreciate a witty sense of humor. In a preacher's sermon he proclaims, "We are all but dust!" In the quiet of the service, a little girls voice can easily be heard as she earnestly asks her mother, "Mommy, what's butt dust?" The sermon ended right then with congregation's rolling laughter.

Randy, from the posts I've seen from you so far, you have been very supportive. I'm sure your DW really appreciates the support too! As for being a "horn dawg", that's natural; I haven't met too many men that aren't, although few will publicly admit to it. :couch2:

    February talk time.

As things look right now, all of my Saturdays in April are wide open. I'm fine with a date change. OBTW, Dr. V's nurse Julie called me today with my ultrasound appointment for next Tuesday morning. That means by the end of day next Thursday, I will be done with EVERYTHING pre-op!

    Tomorrow's My Big Day....

I've dropped a note to her home e-mail. I hope to hear something from her husband Joe. If not, I'm sure she'll check in as soon as she gets home.

    Moving Along ... Again!

Until I have insurance approval and a date, I'll try to contain myself

    February talk time.

I have my exercise physiology, EKG, & chest x-rays scheduled for Thursday. The last test left is an abdominal ultrasound. Dr. V's office is suppose to call me with that one. As soon as I get these finished, I'm done and will simply be waiting for insurance and a date It's finally starting to feel real! I'm excited and anxious.

    Tomorrow's My Big Day....

I haven't heard anything, but she also didn't think her husband would call/e-mail for her either. She'll get on line as soon as she gets home, but with RNY she'll be in the hospital for 3-4 days?

    Moving Along ... Again!

Thanks Randy! You're "here" in support of your wife? Are you banded too? Is she active on the board too?

    I Have an Appointment!

Thank you Carroline! I hope your journey is quick and uneventful. There's no way to know how long it will take from start to band surgery. It varies by surgeon and insurance company.
  14. Woo Hoo! I see Dr. Voellinger on Tuesday at 4:15 pm. !!!

    Moving Along ... Again!

Our prayers to with you Jennifer! Do you think Joe would call or e-mail me to let me know how you're doing?

Congratulations Dianne! We knew you could do it! Let your Lap Band journey continue!

    I Have an Appointment!

I just noticed that your name is actually Carroline; so why "Mona"? Inamed, the company that makes the Lap Band implant, requires surgeons to be "certified" in Lap Band surgery. If a doctor changes hospitals, they require re-certification. The doctor I first went to moved to Charlotte from Chicago, and thus has to be re-certified. To be certified, the surgeon has to have 2-3 patients scheduled for surgery on the same date before Inamed will send a surgeon to proxy their technique. Where in Tennessee do you live?

    February talk time.

Denika, I will say a prayer for your Mom and family! He is the great physician, and can heal all if that's His will for her life. Dianne, my prayers go with you tomorrow morning as you're re-banded. Kim, how did your appointment with Dr. V go today? How is your ankle? Angie, glad to hear that you're starting to feel better! Starr, it was great seeing you again! Court, it was nice meeting you! I hope we see you again next time. Melissa, your girls are fun! Please feel free to bring them anytime. Sorry you sold cookies in the cold, but it sounds like you did well. Kathy, keep posting Jennifer, I know you're out there ... our prayers go with you on Wed. as you have your RNY! Who am I missing this time?

    I Have an Appointment!

Mona, Condensed version, I had all of my preliminary stuff completed by the 1st week in December and have been waiting for the surgeon to have enough patients to be re-certified by Inamed. I'm tired of waiting, and Dr. Voellinger has agreed to take me. Since I have all of my prelims done, and have one of the more liberal insurances for WLS in this area, I hope to be banded very quickly, maybe even before the end of March! After waiting so long, I'm very excited.

OK, so if you leave now, you might be here for lunch tomorrow Welcome to the board anyway!

    I Have an Appointment!

Bread, Welcome! You're in North Carolina then? Where? If you're near Charlotte, there is a group of us meeting at Ruby Tuesdays right off I-77, the Arrowood Rd. Exit for lunch tomorrow at 11 a.m. We have an awesome group of people here, very loving, very caring. Who are you seeing next week?
  23. Mrs Sabre

    Feb 18th

Court, that's awesome! Really look forward to meeting you. Heading south on I-77, take the Arrowood Rd. Exit (just south of Charlotte) and turn right. Ruby Tuesdays is on the right, but you have to go to the signal light on the right to turn in. See you tomorrow!

I get my fill tomorrow! WOOT!

Although I dread it, I need the two weeks of liquids to help me get my head straightened out! The closer it's getting, the more bad stuff I've been eating. I know the band doesn't keep you from eating bad stuff, but I refuse to put myself through this anxiety, effort, surgical pain, etc. and not give it my best effort.
  25. Mrs Sabre

I get my fill tomorrow! WOOT!

Can you feel a difference? Could you feel the band tighten as he added it? Inquiring minds wanna know
