  1. I'm also a fan of the Dannon Light and Fit, the Greek variety kind. Has 80 calories and if I remember correctly, 8 or 9 carbs. The caramel macchiato is pretty tasty.

    (LADIES ONLY) TMI

Yes! I suspect it's the water retention.

    Throbbing in my sleeve?!

Sounds like you ate too fast...causing a spasm. There's an app called 20 minutes that I use. Essentially you eat on a timed basis

    Ideas for soft food phase....

    Wendy's chili!
  5. 6 weeks for me, but this was a personal choice. I didn't want the mental fog that sometimes happens early in the post-op period.

1 week post op and feeling blue

Please don't feel blue. The reality is that the surgery is now over, and it will be so much easier to get to your weight loss goals. Keep looking forward!
  7. It may sound a bit vain, but my goal weight is my high school/college weight. I'd never felt happier in my skin back then.

    Alcohol - when?

I had a drink three days post-op, with no complications. The buzzed effect does hit you harder in my opinion, due to the smaller stomach.

    Weight fluctuation

I would hope they would take overall weight loss in to account, no?
  10. My beginning stats are pretty similar to the OP. Although any weight loss is fantastic, yor chart shows substantial amount of slowing as time goes on. Perhaps cutting your carbs by 50% would help.

    Single Incision vs Minimal Incisions

For aesthetic reasons only, I would have chosen this option if it had been offered.

    Insomnia anyone?

I've been having the same issue the last three nights in a row. For me, the timing of my dinner hasn't made a difference. It's nice to see that I'm not alone!

Good luck, and welcome to the board!

    Surgery after Blood Clots

I'm another fellow PCOS sister. Had a small blood clot to my lung and right leg (no cause found). Was on Xarelto, had it held for a week prior to and after surgery without any issues.

    May Sleevers, How much?

Technically I'm off by a day (sleeved 4/30), and down 34 pounds. No pre-op diet followed.

    Slimies

Step back to your previous diet.

    Tell the truth, exercising

I started walking after surgery. It's nothing special, but my boyfriend and my two Pekingnese puppies walk 5-7 days a week, about 45 minutes at a time. I'm not sure if it adds very much to my weight loss, but it's nice to all do something together!

    Sleeved yesterday

Congratulations! Dr. Rodriguez was my bariatric surgeon too (April 30th at Star Medica). You've made a wise choice.

Throwing up (sorry for the topic)

Interesting. I'm a little over 8 weeks post-op and still struggle with Mexican food (almost always comes back up). To answer your question though, I would not count it.

    11 days post op VSG

I agree with No Onions, that small of a gain is almost always due to normal physiological changes. However, I do weigh everyday. I know many people frown on this practice, but it helps prevent any surprises!

    Too many calories?

I was instructed to not exceed 800 calories until my weight loss goal was reached.
  23. AngelaWilliamsMD

    Any regrets?

Low blood sugar post-op. I've had to alter my diet some but no regrets!!!

What is one thing you use the most post-op

Crystal Light Liquid Mix (Strawberry lemonade flavor). It makes drinking water so much easier.
