  1. Considering this is a support page, we all SHOULD be here for the same reason (support and to learn from each other), and the original post did NOT specify a time period requirement to comment, you guys need to chill. You do not need to be rude about others giving answers just because they don't fit your preferred criteria.
  2. Mine was 2 hours. I didn't come out of recovery for 6 because as my Dr puts it, "I was enjoying the anesthesia" (I took a long time to wake up).

    Before and After Pics

    Mine is After/Before 60 Days Post-Op....still going!
  4. Hey all, I am going to start lifting weights to tone. I was wondering if anyone had an app, website, link, or suggestions for great workout plan? Any help is appreciated. I really don't want to spend big bucks on a trainer. Thanks in advance! - Krista
  5. I average losing 3 lbs a week but lately I gain 1-3lbs then lose it. Back and forth. But I also had an unexpected gall bladder surgery and am recovering. I'm 3.5 months post op.

    Bounce Back After Surgery

Can't tolerate shakes at all. I have and take that every 4 hours. Thanks for the support
  7. Hi all! Let me start by saying how thankful I am to have you and your questions/answers. I'm not very acclimated to the site so I never feel I can find the answer to MY questions without asking it myself. So, my question: I was sleeved 4/13 of this year and overall was doing well. Ive lost 52 lbs and several inches but struggled with Protein and dehydration. I really had a hard time with Water. 10 days ago I had to have my gallbladder removed due to the formation of stones. It was fairly easy. The insane nausea the week before surgery and the week after as well as my sensitivity now has put a MAJOR kink in my food choices. I was on the gallbladder bland diet. Which is starches and carbs mostly. I gained a pound the week of surgery even though I barely ate. I'm OK with this. It was either gain or starve. But will I be able to bounce back quickly? The food issues are 50% gallbladder nausea and 50% the switch to solids (which I had JUST done when the symptoms started). The water problem is gone (yea) but its still VERY hard to eat any Proteins without getting nausea. I guess I just need reassurance that this will pass and I will get back on track.

    Stomach Pain

Called my bariatric surgeon. He immediately did a gallbladder work up and it was removed yesterday. I developed several gallstones over the last 2 months because of the rapid weight loss. Thanks for the support. The birth control is under control

    Taking NSAID's for back pain

My dr said the same. In moderation and not high doses. I take them about 4 days a month if I must. Does the dr know to avoid them? I had to remind my general that I couldn't have them after surgery. Speedy healing!

    Stomach Pain

Hello, I am 2 months out and have been steadily losing 3 lbs a week since my initial 30 lb drop. I recently started full solids and felt I was doing well. About a week ago I started low dose of birth contol. Since then, I have also begun to have stomach issues. I'm am nauseated when I am getting ready to eat, during, and after until it digests. I have no desire to eat and forcing it causes reflux. No real abnormal pain just extreme nausea. I have never actually thrown up and am taking my nausea meds. I also have regular bowels but an intense long lasting burning pain after I go...for hours. Last blood work (June 2) showed slightly low protien and Vitamin D so I was trying to up my protien and now take liquid Vitamin D. I was also dehydrated but have that under control, I think. I have called the dr and he is scheduling me for another gallbladder ultrasound tomorrow and a HIDA scan the next day if no stones are found. Has anyone experienced these symptoms? Has anyone had this HIDA scan? Is it painful?

    Dehydration Question

Doc update! He and my NUT say I am right on the edge of dehydration but have decided to have me do some blood work and a couple tests as well. I'm going in this AM. He felt more concerned with a deficiency somewhere else. NUT encouraged popcicles for working out and any fluids. Watermelon and cucumber were a good idea. Just until we get my water consumption under control. Thank all!!

    Dehydration Question

Thanks guys. I'm not a flavor/mix person. I've tried them all. I drink as much as I can and take a bottle with me all the time. Room temp Water is not for me. It has to be very cool or cold. I can't drink more than 3oz of any Fluid without taking a 10-15 min break or it comes back up. So a whole bottle of Powerade is still a dream for me. Maybe someday! Straws were not so great an experience for me. It left a tight feeling in my stomach. But that might have been in my head after all the warnings.

    Dehydration Question

I did go off caffeine but got over that weeks ago, it wasn't too bad. I am only sweating when I workout. My skin has good bounce back. So I guess I am ok. I'm going to take a day and just focus on various forms of Fluid. See if I can get control of this. It must be nice to have a supporter that is knowledgeable. I've met a couple in my process. One is impossible to contact and the other is all about forcing her opinion and not listening to your concern. She also runs the only local support group. Ugh. Thank goodness I have this! My urine is darker that normal for sure. Heavier density, if that's possible? At least that's how it feels. I would say dark straw but not orange. It's a very frustrating process, this new life adjustment. Just when you think you have a handle on it, something new appears. But, I don't regret it for a second! Thanks, Jane.
  14. Hi All, I was sleeved 4/13. I'm doing pretty well but I have started my workouts. Now I am pretty sure I am getting seriously dehydrated. I can't drink Water fast enough, the mixes in my water make me gag. I was a big water drinker before (never drank at meals). Now I try to drink SF poweraide, water, slip in some milk and natural juice when I can but it's not enough. Especially when it's hot outside. I carry my water bottle with me, the issue is water feels like a marble when it hits my stomach. Drinking any slower will require me to quit everything and become a FT water sipper. (Haha) The last 2 days, I have had headaches that don't go away, tense muscle pains in my neck and shoulders, I'm nauseated, and mouth is dry. At what point do I worry and go see my doctor? I have never been dehydrated before so I am not sure how it progresses. Thanks everyone!

    Insurance denied me :/

I fluctuated from approved BMI to not and back. I was denied 3 times over a 6 year period. I finally got approved and with my new insurance I paid $1200 total! Appeal, your day will come. I will keep my fingers crossed for you!
