Hi All, I was banded December 2007. I have lost 98 lbs. My surgeon is Dr. Keith Vollstedt-Love Him. I have had many ups and downs, nothing major, just took a long time to lose any weight. I have had alot of success the past 6-7 months. I do not have a web site or a blog. I look forward to this journey with you all. :bored:

I have had that problem as well and it seems to subside after a few days. I have had to go back in and have some fluid taken out because it didn't resolve. Hopefully it is due to swelling.

You have had great success. That is awesome. I know that I eat a lot of the wrong things. The problem is they are the majority of what will go down. I just met with the support team yesterday and we are evaluating my situation. I have only lost 16 lbs since January, ugggg. I am restricted and do not eat much at meals. I can not tolerate meats, veggies, or fruites-this is a problem. Hopefully with journaling, eating slower and chosing or having the opportunity to eat the good foods without vomiting I will get back on track. This is my hope. I have big goals to achieve by the first of the year. Best of luck and thanks for the support and references. -
It is amazing to see how far some people have come. Miss, when I look at what you have been eating versus myself, it is no wonder I haven't lost more. It is very inspiring to read the positive responses. I hope that i can get into some kind of groove. Good luck to all and way to go.

Chris, Thanks for the support. I have had 3 fills, the last being on 5/22/2008 and have 4.5cc in a 10 cc band. I have been thinking strongly about going in for another fill-though I am restricted as I have put on the other posts with proteins, veggies and fruits. I am kind of torn. Good luck and keep up the great work. Shannon

That is great that you are having success. It seems like the gas x strips helped me. It is difficult to have a bm if you don't have anything to process. Best of luck to you.

I am so jealous. You have done great. I have lost 52 since starting but had lost 20 getting ready for the surgery. What is working so well for you?

At least I am losing something, but it is sooo slow.

:cursing:Oh gosh. On a daily basis I am depressed by the little progress I have made. I lost more weight getting ready for the banding than I have since the banding. I know that I do not eat correctly, because I can get a lot of things down. For example, chicken sticks, beef sticks. Fish is okay, Soups are okay. Veggies and fruits usually stick as well. So, what do I eat, cheetos, smooth chocolate. Well, of course I am not going to lose the weight eating like this, but what do I do? I exercise intermittently, do drink plenty of Water though. At least I have done one thing right.:tt2: Anyway, I just had to vent. I am embarrassed to tell people I have had the surgery due to the minimal amount of weight lost. Anyway, maybe if I start on this thread I will do better. Thanks for listening. I wish each and everyone of you the best.

Honey I know how you feel. Unfortunately I don't eat exactly as we are to with the band as NONE of the good foods go down. I had my surgery 12/15/2007 and have only lost 35 lbs. I have a gym membership, hired a trainer and still struggle. I drink tons of Water, but the fruits and veggies are a chore. If you have any good solutions let me know. I am more than willing to listen and try. Hang in there, at least they are coming off, the pounds that is, even if it is slower than a turtle. -
Thank you so much. I have to ask. Where are you from? I live in Iowa about 80 miles from Omaha? I was just curious. thanks

Okay all. I have felt like total crap the past few days. Is this common? I do not feel like eating a thing, or drinking as when I do, no matter what amount I have the left shoulder pain. I feel as if I need to belch, but can't. Do any of you have any suggestions? I hope these crummy feelings pass soon. :help:

Hello everyone. I have just came across this forum. I am having my surgery tomorrow. I am really ready to begin this new journey. I have to say that I am really not too nervous, but am very apprehensive. I want to lose a bunch of weight and want the band to work like by pass. I look forward to the changes I will be seeing. :eyebrows:
