    Feb 23 Sleevers!

Hey All, Glad everyone's moving along. I have definitely stalled and it's got me down...lost 31 lbs (and scale hasn't really moved for a week). I know this is normal, but I didn't want to be a slow loser. Could be feeling down from hormones (just stared on Estrogen patch because of Hysterectomy ). I'm also super tired. I started walking for 1/2 hour and weights for 15-20 minutes a day last week (started walking 3 weeks ago). The eating and drinking has been rough too, I'm getting my goal Protein and Water...but don't eat vegetables or too much else, because I'm trying to get my protein in. I also have a tough time getting my calories up (usually between 650 and 850 with great effort), not really sure how many I should be having. I can easily eat a 1/2 cup at a time (and could even eat more)...this concerns me, so early on. Sorry to be a Debby Downer...but this has been a rough few weeks. OMG I've been the same way and I'm a month this week, sometimes I have a lot of energy but lately I've been soooo tired and my hormones have me allll over the place, my tears have been streaming lately and not even for any reason. I heard it takes a while for our bodies to adjust but idk Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk I'm sorry you've been feeling the same way. Yes, it does take some time for our bodies to adjust. And if you have hormonal issues already (like every ounce of estrogen production taken from your body in one day from surgery, like I did). I imagine my body is VERY confused. We just have to take it one day at a time. It does help to know that this is a pretty normal part of the process for some of us. Hang in there! Feb 23 Sleevers!

How is everybody? It's been quiet on this thread. It was a wonderful weekend with my husband and church family. Then today...I was so tired, sad, weepy, and frustrated. I had so much to do, but spent most of the day in bed. This crushing fatigue is hard to deal with, and I kept thinking...what if this lasts for ever....you're still fat...and on and on.... The combination of this surgery, surgical Menopause, and trouble finding foods I can eat with enough Protein...had me in tears. It's a little better now though, thank God. 6. Congratulations Everyone! Bigguy you can really see a difference! Had my surgey Feb. 23rd and down 26 lbs. So happy about that! I acutally felt pretty in my dress yesterday. ???? Even after making Protein and Water my full time job (literally), I am soooo tired...So glad I'm not alone. I was laying her exhausted and was just thinking something must be wrong. I've been a little depressed because it really has been hard to make all the necessary changes. I would do it again though...in a heartbeat!

I do too its awful. I have it extremely bad! Falecha Man...it is bad. Do you take anything? Did you always have it, or just since surgery? Mine is definitely worse since surgery. They say it can go away at around 6 months (sometimes more)...I sure hope so, because it literally wakes me up. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Probably, but also of they were giving you iv's in the hospital..that often adds Water weight. I was 10 lbs heavier after my last two surgeries, but it went away after a few days at home. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Why thank you! I work 15 hour days overnight so eating all what I a supposed to is really hard. The green stuff is hummus. Than in the middle is chicken salad made with low fat mayo. The little container at the bottom with chicken strip looking this is a Beyond Meat dish. Beyond Meat is a faux meet product made of soy and pea Proteins (really tastes like chicken. texture and everything). Its killer good and has 25g of Protein per 4oz. And than the brown stuff is a Mexican chicken dish I made in the crockpot with kidney, black Beans, onion, red/green pepper and chipotle sauce. Nice soft high protein meals. Oh and I found those little Babybell cheese wheels and two strawberries make a wonderful snack.Thank you for the breakdown! Wow, 15 hour days and overnight. That is impressive...I couldn't do that...I think I would fall asleep. Yum! Your food options sound good. I think I have to try some of these. I'm a little tired of chili, eggs and refried beans. Feb 23 Sleevers!

Yay!!! I'm down 1.5 lbs since yesterday. I am so happy. I had two goals in the first month 1. To lose at least 30 lbs in the first month (didn't happen)...but I did lose 25 lbs (since day of surgery)... 2. To be under 200 lbs (happened today...199.4...on day 31, close enough!) I am really encouraged by this. I was a little down yesterday, because I didn't meet my goals. Some things I have been doing. 1. I increased my Protein a week ago to 74-97 (yesterday was 97, and two other days were 90 & 93). My docs office said take in 50 grams at least (I felt way too tired and shaky only doing 50-69). I've taken two Muscle Milks to help get protein up, there's just no way I can get those numbers just eating. My doc is not a fan of them, but...I have to at the moment. 2. Increased my Water 64-97 (yesterday) 3. Upped my calories to around 700-850. Not sure of this helped my stall, but I think it might have. We shall see. Also, just ordered the Syntax nectar samples(from Bariatric Pantry) and unjury samples (from Unjury), and a new cheap scale from amazon. Was so excited...I got all of them today! (Very quickly) Here is the scale link: http://www.amazon.com/EatSmart-Precision-Bathroom-Capacity-Technology/dp/B001KXZ808/ref=zg_bs_85968011_2 It seems pretty accurate so far, it was the same weight three times in a row. It also came with a free measuring tape. I ordered it and got Free two day shipping by signing up for a Free Prime membership for 30 days (you MUST cancel in 30 days if you don't want it though, or you'll be charged $90-100 for the membership). I'm definitely going to start my one weekly weighing only, otherwise I think I can get to impatient and discouraged. I am going to do my measurements tomorrow (and once every 30 days), because sometimes your getting smaller even though the scale isn't dropping...so measurements can be encouraging. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers

I am a Christian as well and couldn't have said it better. I'm maxed out on the pain meds right now and have to wait 4 hours in between doses. So glad you have the Lord. He is our strength. You are in my prayers. Just some thoughts...I'm an 8 time surgery girl...and this is what I've learned.... I set my phone alarm for the pain meds, so if I fell asleep The pain wouldn't get out of hand. Also, if t's to bad they can ask the Dr. To order a bolus (a higer dose to bring the pain under control), or they increase the 4 hr. Amount. All pain doesn't necessarilly go away, but it's so much worse if you're lauing ther suffering. Also, Very important....make sure they release you with enough and a high enough dose of pain medicine. My last two surgeries they wanted to release me with half the dose of pain medicine that I was on...and I said, no way. I don't want to go home be in so much pain that I end up back in the ER. After a not so easy time...they gave me my same dose that I was on, and something for break through pain. I still have a whole bottle left, and 1/3 of another. I didn't even need to use it. But, it was there if I needed it.

I'm sorry you'r hurting. As a Christian, my go to is praying to the Lord for peace and comfort in the pain...it has helped to get me through many times. Also, can you ask for more pain medicine? Maybe that will help the pain so you can sleep. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Feb 23 Sleevers!

Welcome Falecha! Glad you posted. You are actually doing quite well (weight wise). Many of us have lost less than that since surgery. I'm only 22 lbs down (but, I'm trying not to complain...because I never lost 22 lbs in a month in the past). Hopefully your Drs. appointment will put your mind at ease. I always write my questions down, so I don't get nervous ad forget....just a suggestion. I think we have to just keep trying to get Protein and Water goals in, and it will come off. At least, that seems to be the norm. Also, as they said on the other thread...the 3 weeks stall is VERY common. So, we shouldn't worry. Thanks for ur advice I appreciate it maybe I'm reading too much into it r maybe I want the weight to just drop off but it doesn't work that way. I'll let everyone know how my doctors appointment went tomorrow. Believe me...I know the feeling! I too want the weight to be gone faster. I think it's pretty normal....especially when you've been through so much (surgery, and all that comes with it). But, priase God it's coming off at all! Before surgery my weight was just climbing up and up...for the umpteenth time. Keep us posted on the Doc apt. Tomorrow. Night Sent from my LG-H811 using the BariatricPal App

Hang in there. For some people it can last a little while. Just keep doing what you need to do. I promise you the scale will move again if you stick to the program. Thank you for the encouragement! ???? I'm gonna keep on keepn' on!
