Today marks one year since I had my Gastric Sleeve surgery, and I can only say that was the best decision I have ever made. I have lost 120 pounds since the surgery, and I haven't had any problems at all. I do need to get back on track when it comes to exercising because sometimes I get lazy. The day of my surgery was April 14, 2015, and I was 275 pounds that day. Today I am very happy to say I'm 155 pounds, and even though I still have 10 pounds more to lose to be on my goal weight I am very proud of how far I've come. I honestly don't remember the last time I weighted what I weight now or wore medium size clothing, and size 7 dress and pants size. It is unbelievable, and I'm very happy to share this because it is an accomplishment that many of us before the Gastric Sleeve struggle to achieve.

I am officially 51 pounds down and 3 months post op. I'm very happy with the results of my surgery, and surprisingly enough I'm excited about going on vacation on Thursday. I have been following my diet and exercise regime very strictly, and I'm very happy about it. I'll keep everyone updated about how my first vacation after surgery went . I feel excited and about this journey that I have taken and looking forward towards actually making healthier eating choices while on vacation like I have been doing for the the two months since I've been eating solid foods.

My surgery was 4/14 and I know I work hard to make sure I lose some weight...and hopefully I continue to lose at the rate that I'm losing because the more you lose weight you start losing weight slower

And btw I felt even more excited and happy when I went to old navy and actually fit perfect and a little loose on the legs into some size 14 shorts ( I stop buying clothes after my size 16 clothes no longer fit, all I wore was leggings and sweat pants)...so with that being said one of the best feelings in the world right now for me

I can honestly say that was the best decision I have ever made towards my health! I'm loving it..I will keep everyone posted after I come back

Mamsinator the same thing happens to me I had my surgery April 14 and as of now I have only lost 50 pounds. I stopped worrying about it when I realized that every time I lose weight I stop losing for like 2 or 3 weeks. Sometimes I feel like that's a coping mechanism for my body to adapt to the rapid weight loss...I've always struggled with my weight I was always dieting and exercising even before the surgery, but after the surgery I've been more than happy with my results. Yes! It is taking its time but as far as I'm concern even if is a pound that I'm losing I don't care any more as long as I'm losing weight. I have started to focus more in my body changes than the scale...as long as you keep following the surgeons instructions with proper diet we will make it to our goals -

When the jeans you haven't worn in about a year fit perfect again, and you are actually wearing jeans ( I started wearing leggings after my size 16 jeans no longer fit, and I refused to buy clothes until I lost weight) -
So this weekend I went to three different restaurants with my mother, and grandmother for Mother's Day. And I'm proud to say that although I'm still in my soft food stage I did pretty good I had fish ceviche in one of the restaurants that I also ate the next day for lunch, and I had bean soup at another place and shared it with my sister and best friend, and the ultimate challenge going to a Dominican restaurant ???? I'm Dominican, and I love the food from the place I went with my mother and grandmother, but I just ordered baked salmon which was served with fried plantains that I gave to my grandmother to eat, and I'm still eating some of that salmon for lunch today. Although it might not seem like much I think is a big deal for me I love food and I went to 3 different restaurants over this past weekend, and stayed within the boundaries of my diet in all three of them. ????????????

I know at Band07 that's how I felt too but I didn't have a choice and I had to eat, and I felt very proud because I didn't upset my stomach and stayed within the boundaries that my diet requires ???????????? -

Two weeks post op! Pureed ideas? April sleevers
naomi1009 replied to Jnizzi's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I made bean soup and added extra lean ground turkey blended it all together to make it creamy and so far I love it is delicious....also fat free Greek yogurt has been working great for me......I added the turkey for extra protein since I'm only eating 4 oz of it once or twice per day that way I can get to my protein intake of 60 to 70 grams per day. -
I try not to weight myself until I go see the doctor it makes me anxious, but I had surgery on April 14 the first week I lost 16 lbs and then I went to the doctor again the following week and I had lost 2 more lbs. I started with 272 lbs, and now I am 254 lbs.

I had my surgery April 14, and although when I went to my follow up I had lost 16 pounds and my friends and family said I look like I lost a lot of weight I still don't see it. In fact I feel like I gained weight even when I look at myself on the mirror I think I gained weight. My surgeon said that is because I'm losing weight faster than my mind can process it. I'm hoping somewhere down the line I start seeing the changes in my body.
