  1. 89 lbs is great. Sorry your struggling a bit. Drink some protein shakes for extra protein. I drink Premier Protein Shakes. They have 30 grams of protein. Exercising is so important. Walking is great & working out at the gym will help as well. I'm sure you feel much better after losing 89 lbs. Keep taking those supplements. I'm 5 months post op & have lost 100lbs. I'm enjoying exercising again. Don't cheat on your diet. Good Luck to you

    Stalls, frustration and general grumpiness

The main reason for no coffee is your stomach is very small. It doesn't absorb nutrients like it used to. That's why you have to take supplements. Caffeine deters nutrient absorption. I would stick to decaf tea & coffee for 4 to 5 months. It's tough to give up but I did it. No carbonated drinks either. Do what they tell you to do & you'll be successful. Caffeine also stimulates appetite

    Hello, new here

The only time I had dumping syndrome was when I ate 3 pieces of bacon with my breakfast. Never again. If it's greasy I can't eat it. No fried food or sugar. The fudgesicles don't bother me. Only 40 calories & taste pretty close to ice cream.
  17. My 2-weeks pre op was nothing but shakes. Then the same 2 weeks after surgery. You can do this. Time passes fast. Get some sugar free popsicles & jello. It's going to be a major lifestyle change. Follow the guidelines the nutritionist & doctor gave you. I'm 4 months post op &-have had no setbacks. Lost 90lbs so far. Good Luck to you

@@Tamster01 My surgery was 12/18/14. I've lost 90lbs so far. Now I'm losing about 10lbs a month. I lost 30 before surgery on the liquid diet. Did you cheat? Seems like you would've had better success by now. What does your doctor day?
